I usually check people’s steam account before taking any rash judgment, if I see anything above 500h or close to the thousands in any FPS like counter strike, Team Fortress, Call of Duty, etc… I’ll be enclined to think the player is genuinely good, rather than cheating.

Play-time makes one better and better. It’s eye to hand muscle memory training and there is nothing that beats that in order to become better. But here is one simple yet effective advice for improving lots: have a low mouse sensitivity with no mouse acceleration.

I did the change a few years back and it took me like 2 weeks to get used to the new sensitivity, but after I got used I consistently was on my mark. I do about 270 degrees of rotation when moving my mouse 40cm horizontally. It’s almost going from one edge of my FOV till the other when only using my wrist from one end to the other. Give it a try and you’ll see your aim will improve.

Also, specifically to this game, you should learn some basic and advanced moving techniques. If you want to know more about it, just PM me. I’ll give you a rundown or we’ll meet in-game or something for me to show you.

The hax comes out at night… just right now (oh the audacity of that guy). He managed to wipe out a defending squad of 5 with just headshots using a pistol in quick succession. Of course, he’s got some sort of thumb control on his hacks so that he times it selectively when it would look less suspicious.

Yeah, there’s still plenty of hackers out there. At least we aren’t seeing the name-changing, no-clipping stuff anymore (at least I’m not), but there’re lots of wallers and aim togglers going around still.

Like you said, I’ve noticed it happens more at night or lower player count servers (e.g. 5/12, 8/16). Their thinking being it’s less likely they’ll get reported much.

Honestly I’m fine with blatant cheaters because they are very easily banned from the game, my concern is with closet hackers who do everything in their power to conceal their illegitimate ways… mainly because in every game ever a closet hacker tends to have a terrible egotistical attitude as though they are in fact a better player than you. That’s really the thing which annoys me: attitude. The lack of any due respect in gaming is why we’re not taken seriously around the world, even as big e-sports events like The International is looked at as a “silly and unnecessary” thing by people who claim the right to say so by watching “real” sports.

Decided to play some DB again yesterday after a decent break. Played a few rounds, then I was kicked by the anti-cheat.

Sighed, reset shooter engine to vanilla, enjoyed low fps yet again. As a side-note, the optimization of DB is honestly, truly, seriously lacking.

I just hope this is an indication of how well it performs versus the actual cheaters, even though I know it’s not.

I encountered at least 3 cheaters back to back to back on competitive just soon after the new AC hit and honestly it seemed almost worse than pre-AC.

I have since not played a single competitive match as its pretty BS that you are forced to sit there and play with someone cheating or face a punishment for leaving. To make matters worse the other team could not vote him out, it wouldn’t let them. (Because its a comp match i guess)

I haven’t noticed any cheating the past week or two though in pug, which makes me want to at least attempt another comp match as I’m sick of losing my extra credits from those play comp missions as I normally just dump the mission.

I haven’t seen a single cheater in pubs and only one in ~30 matchmaking games since the new anticheat. That’s infinitely better than before and a perfectly acceptable level considering this is a F2P shooter. Of course your mileage may vary, depending on play time, rank, region, etc.

cheating is becoming worse in pubs if you ask me. over 3 days ive seen one using some sort of nuke enemy team cheat. two using aimbots and one shooting through walls.
i just hope people reports it …

I guess the Underground wall shots are now happening by glitches.

I actually tried it just once, but I felt dirty with myself, so I acted like there was a wall instead.

This dude was doing it on Terminal and had both his turret and his own gun shooting through walls.

It really makes me wonder if NGS is really working.

There’s even one for each side of the team. I guess they had agreed not to kill each other.

The vote system is broken, and we can’t kick them.

It is most likely a new hack that simply hasn’t been detected yet. It will be.

I know it’s been said a million times before but anti-cheat systems do not typically prevent new cheats. They are added after they are created and the ability to play with them is removed (which usually means removal of the account too). Anti-cheat would be awesome if it could 100% cheating but it’s just not possible while also retaining your privacy rights. It sucks but it’s the way of the world right now.

I feel the number of cheaters has decreased massively for pubs at least, which makes me happy. I will always try to report if I do come across some obvious cheater though. The situation is lot better than it was with XIGN.
