ANTI-SPAM

(HunterAssassin5) #1

If you’re reading this shortly after I post it, chances are you are experiencing this dirty bomb of spam posts as its happening.

First things first, it seems 6 flags get a discussion taken down for moderation, at least that’s the message I got the two times my flag bumped up the flag count to 6 and gave me the pop up saying so, so get flagging before anything else.

Second of all, to prevent a similar event, I propose that new accounts cannot post more than a certain amount of discussions before getting a new rank or staying for a longer period of time, of course, it can be easily overcame by making more accounts, but making a new account is harder than making a new discussion, so it might or might not help to a point.

Seriously, I don’t get it and probably will never get it.

What are you waiting for, hit that flag button

(BerylRdm) #7

I would flag them, but I’m too scared to open these threads

Exactly!
Don’t forget, if a post gets five flags it’ll be removed for moderation.

(BerylRdm) #9

I killed it! You all get the assists.

Does anyone want to translate what it says?

Also, IP ban on whoever is making the proxies needs to happen ASAP.

(Jostabeere) #11

Mod being like while removing Korean spambots
Warning: Strong language. And much, much sarcasm. It’s not serious boys and girls.
Me commenting here doesn’t mean me not hitting flag button at the same time  I was just wondering whats the reason to do that, it’s not like anyone cares about their Korean linkspams.

You can’t ban an IP you don’t know if they are behind proxies. You can ban proxy IP’s but that could affect a lot of people. Which has most definitely happened here before!

(Faraleth) #14

There is a ton of Korean spam in the weapon discussion section, please fix. Also, the spam is advertising Korean casino websites. :stuck_out_tongue:

(SereneFlight) #19

Well…

Already fixed.
