Another Phantom rant

Hey,I see there’s plenty of phantom threads. Anyway I decided to create another in hope that developers see how urgent it is to fix it. Well,I’d mostly say Phantom+katana,without katana it feels quite balanced.

It’s obviously really over powered merc. Why?

-Too much HP.

-You can’t see (or hear) Phantom until in a quite close range and invisibility absorbs damage = you start making damage when he’s in melee range.

-Too fast considering high HP and damage absorbing. Otherwise OK.

My suggestions to fix it:

Reduce health to under 100.

Remove damage absorbing.

I just came from a competitive match where opponents had 4 Phantoms. Even if my team had considerably higher skill it would not have mattered,that’s how OP it is and it’s breaking the game. Competitive matches especially.

Great game anyhow,hope to see it fixed.

100 is too much of a reduction. 110 HP would be a good sweet spot for him, at least for the first adjustment. Don’t use a sledgehammer, use a scalpel. They are definitely going to adjust his shield so I wont even comment on that right now.

Ding Ding Ding. We have a winner! Hotfix this before Phantom goes on free rotation.

EDIT: 110 works too, or keep the health and reduce the speed.

This is the best overall change that’s been recommended. Although I think 100 would be perfect, I can see the logic behind trying 110 first. But that shield has got to go.

I’ve seen so many recommendations from damage bleed through the shield, shorter ability duration, loosing perks and changing weapons, but this addresses the key concerns while still keeping him a viable merc.
