*Another Phantom change thread*

I’ll keep it short and say they just need to remove the “shield” ability on Phantom, decrease health to 100, but still keep the cloaking ability. I believe Phantom is taking a role of both a lightweight stealth class and a tank class which is why I think people say he’s overpowered. The fact that he isn’t able to take damage charging full course towards an enemy w/o or limited consequences is ridiculous.

There was going to be an inevitable knee-jerk reaction when Phantom came out. As time goes on, people will start to quickly recognize the image of an invisible Phantom. People set the world on fire in the beginning about Phantom because they didn’t know what to look out for.

Also if people using Vassili have at least half the IQ of a rock, they can toss a sensor ball here and there to completely cancel his primary ability. Furthermore, no doubt the merc Redeye can easily detect an invisible Phantom.

Agreed on shield removal. However 110 HP would be a better nerf to start with. I feel nerfing it by 20 right off the bat is too much, especially if they remove shield too as that is already a huge change. Start with 110 and see how that plays out, imo.

He IS still an assault class, so having the HP of Sawbonez instead of a stay back class like Vassili would be better, trading health packs for stealth and all that.

He’s actually a Recon, not assault.

I agree though, either lower HP to 110 or lower speed to 410. Right now he has the HP of Skyhammer and the speed of Sawbonez/Fletcher.

Only reason I’d prefer 100 instead of 110 with shield removed is so they can one shot eachother :p. Let them feel the rage they’re inflicting.

Any melee weapon with the melee damage augment can one shot squishies, just like the katana. I’ve played plenty of games as melee aura/sparks running around at very high speed one shotting squishies.
