Animation Tools Question / Mod ?

'lo all :slight_smile:

Don’t normally post in these bits of the forum and I’m not rightly sure if this is the right place either but I gotta start somewhere so here goes;

I’m interested in knowing if there’s such a thing as an animation mod? I mean a fairly highlevel tool (minimal programming skill required tbh) that allows you to basically turn the q3 engine into a means to animate or script together a scene (ala the cut scene sequences you see in the SP games) ?

It’s been on my mind for a while now after fiddling (badly I stress) with Radiant, I just thought it would be good if it were possible to create something akin to a scene from a film or more likely a cartoon. See I’ve no real idea how stupid this may sound as I really don’t know much about this side of the q3 scene.

I’m quite happy to get my hands dirty and put time into learning something, but I’m a bit intimidated at thought of having to become an adept C++ (or whatever) masta such as many of you are :)_

Any help or pointers (even if it’s just “wtf e.sock, no you can’t”) would be appreciated.

I’ve heard of people doing it in RTCW, but that was many moons ago.

Theres a website that covers the theme “movie making with games”.
Not sure if this is what you are looking for.
