What does the “Animation Quality” in the video settings do and what things does it mostly affect? I know it says “the level of detail to show in character geometry” but is it only for the mercs or does it affect the guns too? Sorry if the question seems to be a bit noobish but I couldn’t figure out the difference on my own and playing around with the setting in the assault course didn’t help me with anything too. Also, how much does it affects the performance if cranked upto high or maxed out.

Haven’t actually seen that option. Based off the name, I would guess it affects how smooth third person animations like running, jumping, and throwing animations, of teammates and enemies appear on your screen. However based on the description that you gave it sounds like it determines how much detail the other player models have on them.
