Angry joe plays DB

All NEXON games run with the same idea behind them “make people spend”. How ever you are not obligated too. I play Combat Arms since beta and spend lots of money on it. Play vindictus also spend some money. This game however will go with me without spending a dime for now. I really don’t see the need to try for a bigger load out when it keeps giving you shit cards. I wish we could purchase weapons on our own instead of pres-selected ones.

Game is still too new and I’m hoping for a good reason for me to throw 5 bucks into it. Right now I’m not too enthusiastic about it. Its an OK game, its RNG based which makes it pretty unique but that itself is its weakness.

What?

To be fair, yea I have spent plenty of cash over time on this game.

But it’s because I enjoy it, a lot, and I feel like my money is a good investment in this game as long as they don’t do what Hi Rez did and drop the game completely.

That and I hope we don’t end up with 10+ mercs for each category, 50 mercs is insane.
Yes, and then a real critic dropped by and told him the truth in the comment section. His name is Total Biscuit also known as the Cynical Brit. He pointed out to Joe that you can buy any loadout through a bronze card. Joe is just like how I was in the beginning, he thinks Cobalt cards make a better player when in reality there are 9 loadouts for each merc. The card varieties are just skins typically, rather to show dedication towards the game. I used to like Joe, but as a critic I thought that he’d do more of his own research than listen to a guy over Skype who got numerous facts wrong. I was angrier than Joe was in the video by watching this video.

Mad respect for AJ, but this killed my view on him a bit. Still waiting for TB’s review.
I have never seen a video where I got the impression that he did any research for a game or had much patience for it unless it was on his hype radar. This is a really awful video though, the worst i have seen from him.

You can get the exact weapon you want with € or in-game money in the store, without having to gamble. So your wish is granted. (unless you want to be able to equip any merc with any weapon, in which case I think they did limit combinations for balance purposes).

SD, @MissMurder , it’s becoming tiresome to have to repeat to literally EVERYONE that the RNG part is an OPTION and can be skipped. Your store is very badly presented.

It’s not, it’s designed that way on purpose so that people spend more money playing roulette without realising they don’t have to but they can safely say there’s no problem. Which there isn’t, it just takes advantage of lazy people.

Purposefully badly presented or not, it still is badly presented

Honestly, if you handle well the crates stats, how the trade up system works and the generated costs, you can have a desired weapon for a specific merc with bronze loadout for far less than if you bought a loadout directly from the shop. And you can possibly gamble for a specific loadout this way for less than 17500. I lack of stand back right now on that but I might do some stat experience on this.
All it takes is to refuse to buy a crate from shop and instead grinding them, and only do iron to bronze trade-ups.
