An idea to implement

When someone is typing a message you don’t see it… it is like the person is afk…

I think it would be good that when a player opens the chatbox an icon appears above its head so everybody knows he is typing something. Then it is up to the other players to show mercy or to just shoot the guy down regardless:p

what do you think about that?

+1 to this.
this is usual thing to quake-like games. when ppl go to console they have text icon above them, and fair-players do not kill those koz clearly afk

Less type more play.

In days of old facing a wall meant ‘I’m afk, no kill I’ but alas those days of chivalry are gone :(. W:ET had the chat icon iirc, was handy.

I recall suggesting this roughly one year ago haha

Ahh yes, the golden days of chivalry when typing gave you immunity. Aye, i remember them well. Coming around a corner, popping a couple of rounds into someone, realising they were afk, chucking them a med pack to top their health back up, and then running off to join my teammates, proud of my nobility. Only to then get shot in the arse when the bugger stopped typing :frowning: happy days :stuck_out_tongue:

hell yeah!! being shot in the back by consolers <3333

The merc should just hold his head to his ear as if speaking in an intercom. Many games do this.
