An idea: move minimum level to play comp up in increments.

A lot of players would like to see the minimum level for comp play increased to 10, but we don’t want to just tell players they can’t play comp anymore. As a middle ground approach, why not increase the level requirement by one every week or so. The level 5-10 players can still play comp if they play semi regularly and in the end we will have comp games with players who have a better idea what they are doing. Just a thought.

The devs have said on stream before, they don’t want the barrier for entry to be too high because some people hate casual mode in games and just want to play competitive, just FYI!

TBH if the devs want people to enter comp. at a low level then make it so when i solo queue i get into a match of mostly my level and skill with ONE unranked low level person at a time. Also you need to set up the system so that people get deranked and ranked based on wins because the current system is broken since players go up against random fucking ranks and end up never playing there own damn ranks. So low level shittys never go to bronze and high level players never go to elite #stuckincobalt They need to get rid of the current ranking system and just take a note from a successful game like CS:GO(as much as i don’t like this game) and have it based on wins no matter what ranks you are playing with or against. And if not then put me in matches with other COBALTS not silvers and mid golds with the skill level of bronze scrubs.

The only reason why the current system receives so much negative feedback is because the matchmaking process prioritizes short queue times instead of balanced games, so if you were to queue up with a full team of level 40 elite ranks it only takes a few minutes of queueing until it starts searching for opponents regardless of their rank, often resulting in veteran players stomping the shit out of people who barely just got done with installing the game.
Matchmaking will always be bad with player counts like this, there’s not much you can do about it.
