Americans vs. euros

With all these shoutcasted matches going on we should try to get an American vs euro going one day. Possibly split maps on servers? Do 1 map per server or something along those lines to be fair ping wise. We’d most likely have to do during the day for euro times considering night time on the east coast is like 3 am in euro. Any American players out there that would be interested? Io, evil, Valdez, strych? Can any of you guys play during the day one day and attempt to do this? Leave responses here if this sparks any interest from any of the na players becAuse I’m sure the euro guys would be down with all the matches they’ve been playing!

its really not nice playing vs high ping XD It feels like highping has an advantage.

There is an easy solution to the ping issue that we used back in TAW in my comp days. We had the TAW EU comp team go up against the NA comp team and played the game over 2 matches, the first (Maridia) was played on the NA server while the second (Volcano) was played on the EU one. Despite the ping issues the games were very exciting and intense and the ‘favourites’ (EU) still won on Maridia despite the lag issues and finished the match 2-0 which negated any decider problems.

High ping has an advantage, then low ping has an advantage, then high ping has an advantage… the epic cycle continues!

It’s an idea that a few people have been supporting for some time.

Now it would be nice to pit both pub players of both side against each others as well as the more competitive ones so that everyone in the alpha has a chance to play the other side for a fun match. (meat as pub team US captain!). And of course maps played on both home servers.

I hope it will have varied line ups and not just 3/4 people of the same team with backups (maybe a same team players limit of 2?).

I would suggest, that the community votes for a team captian for the US and EU team. The captains than pick their team out of a EU/NA pool where all players that want to play can sign up for. If alot more sign up than places are avialable maybe change line ups every map or something like that.

I would also suggest a rule that there arent more than two players of one of the alpha teams are allowed (d.Tt, biatch, AIE and US Team,…).

This was going to be the sort of thing we are going to look at. Me and Seanza are busy with festivals/hols right now. As soon as we know our schedule we will post more info. And the chances are there will be two captains to pick the teams.

I could put together a mixed US group for a show match maybe next month after I get back from vacation, but no guarantee and it’s a ways off lol. Maybe by then some patches will bring back my interest too, hopefully.
