Amazon has Updated to Release Day Delivery

(Peev) #1

I’ve been reading for months, and I finally made an account because I know a bunch of people were waiting to see if Amazon would wake up and give BRINK release day delivery.

They just have! In the U.S. No idea for other countries.

So I finally made my preorder.

I pre-ordered it yesterday, and I don’t see an option to change to release date delivery.

I have Amazon Prime and pre-ordered it in January. I was sent an email a few days ago telling me it would arrive May 13th. I clicked “your account”, “view open orders”, and “change shipping speed”. I clicked the “release day” option. Now I have a confirmation email that the shipping method was updated. Tuesday May 10th it should be here. The last time I used release day delivery the game arrived at noon the day the game launched.

That’s funny!
I told Play.com about the change in Release date (I’ve Preordered from there) and they said they would get on to it ASAP. As far as I know, It’s not changed…

There is some discussion on this in the preorder thread. A few of my friends were unable to change to release date delivery due to their zip codes for some reason. All three were given other bonuses from Amazon since they couldn’t change their shipping, either free 1 day shipping, a gift card, or both.

If you do have a preorder in with them it seems to be worth the call to get it changed over.

Just cancelled my preorder @ gamestop. And switched to amazon.com as soon as I saw this.

Thanks to this thread I went to my account in Amazon and changed the shipping speed to release date and it worked. I got confirmation that I would receive it the release date. They charged me 99 cents more which is fine. my total is now 48.98. Thumbs up for amazon.

does Direct2Drive ship the game to you or is it downloaded?

(Shinjorai) #9

Everything on d2d is download only. The way the service works is you make an account and everytime you buy a game its added to that account and you can login to the account and download your games at will. I ordered from direct 2 drive myself, been using them for years they’re a very good company.

Thanks for this. Amazon finally made release-date delivery an option on my account.

I don’t know why it took me until reading that particular line, but I’m pretty sure I’m going to have to take some PTO May 10th and maybe the 11th… Aw yeaaaah.
