Amazing trickjump on Chapel!

This video explains it clearly, so here it is: youtube.com/watch?v=a1ulBJ3Gew0&feature=youtu.be

This jump allows you to get from the defender’s area near the last objective on Chapel up onto the bridge usually used by the attackers. Without using the ramp!

I found this on my own, someone may have already found this, and it could be common knowledge for all I know. But I will at least bring it up again if it has been found before.

I still wish that I was a the first though.

Personally, I feel like the could adjust the map, slightly, so that we don’t need to get on the sign to make that jump, but just be able to do one long jump after another to get across.

This jump is basically common knowledge, but not used much, because it isn’t really useful.
You’re exposed for too long from 4 different angles. If you want to get vision on the area behind bridge, do a double walljump of the wall where the bridge is attached and spam stuff over that. You can even designate an arty strike while up in the air.

yup, the jump is nice but falls in the ‘too risky/clunky’ category. If you have to stand on that pole for more than 0.1sec, you are dead meat. Plus being shot at will most likely kick you off it.

i found soo many jumps by myself when playing vassili, when i pick him something in my head changes and i am getting to the weirdest positions.

soo nothing new for me,

Yeah, this is a common thing that isn’t super useful when used in actual play. If it could be done extremely quickly it could be useful in some flanking situations to approach from the top of the ramp that a lot of people wouldn’t be looking at. But I don’t believe it’s possible to do quickly enough compared to the risk you take.

A lot of these jump spots in the original early maps of DB seems like it wasn’t really intentional and are much harder to do than the ones that you see in the newer maps which you can obviously use that jump spot since it was made for it. It would be awesome if SD could remake some jump spots in the traditional maps.

I find cool jump spots when i play aura, so I can stick my health station in obvious places (but hide the aura).
