Am I the only one with a lot of hitching?

Pretty self explanatory, I am experiencing a lot of hitching while playing DB, and the odd random disconnect, anyone else having similar problems?

I do have the issue. I though it was my ping at first, but it looks like my friends also suffer from this. You are not alone.

YES! I have been experiencing this as well and so has some of my friends. Been experiencing this ever since the last hotfix update I think.

It seems to happen most when something loud is going to happen, such as a grenade going off, or a detonation caused by a planted charge.

Or, when I say loud, I should say something with a big graphical explosion. Even mines are causing my game to go wonky.

A couple of things to try

Update your graphics card drivers.

I upgraded my drivers today to fix fallout 4’s terribad performance thanks nvidia, ; ) (AMD/280x) to latest beta drivers and got a small increase in fps in DB.

If you do decide to upgrade your drivers run DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) first then install the new drivers afterwards, cleans alot of the leftover files out which reduces problems.

Try Turning off Steam Overlay.

To do this right click dirty bomb in steam, click properties, then uncheck the box that says “enable the Steam Overlay while in-game”.

Minor boost in performance, but major thing was no more “hitching” as you describe. But you can’t view steam profiles in game/make purchases with it off so its kind of hit and miss. But worth a try

Verify Game Cache

To do this right click dirty bomb in steam, click properties, goto Local Files tab, Verify Integrity of Game Cache.

Worked with the last hotfix update but not the major one, but again worth a try as you may have some corrupt files or files that didnt update or smth, What this essentially does (if you don’t know already, not trying to insult your intelligence if you do, also might be helpful for someone who doesn’t know) is check the games files downloaded on your pc against the ones in steam and then fixes it by deleting and replacing the files, that is if any are corrupt or modified or simply not been updated properly.
