or maybe because i used sparks Kill then ressurect people punish me?

Ranked is down for a short amount of time due to issues.

#3

If you are banned from ranked, the button still shows up. You just can’t press the ‘find match’ button in there.

Should know better than to try and play ranked when you have this constant frame rate problem of under 1FPS.

I know it sucks that its happening to you, but you are literally the only person I’ve seen talk about this problem, at some point you just have to look into your own system.

You first blamed it on the nexon anti cheat and black cipher… yet that is no longer an issue when it comes to DB, but you still have the same problem.

I get that you’ve probably checked and tested a number of things on your system and that other games might work properly, but sometimes when things get this bad you just have to go the extra step, and prove it isn’t your system by doing a full wipe and reinstall of your OS and the game.

I don’t claim that you are the only person having issues with the game, however you are the only one that I’ve heard of to have the game drop below 1 FPS and be able to reproduce it consistently as well.

What do you mean by
and that other games might work properly
???

THEY DO WORK PROPERLY. Except for this

It is DEFNITIVE!

You honestly think I haven’t done that? It was one of the first things I did and until I was told to benchmark the system against other games, I would have persisted that there is a fault in the hardware. I personally tested video, audio and network hardware and firmware, and none of them have anything anomalous that would remotely suggest that it needs adjustment or replacement. Have you seen the length of things I’ve done to sort out this issue? The number of tests, I have performed until I could ascertain the cause from the symptoms?

What you are implying is that we do not have good or sound reason to play Ranked at all… or even Stopwatch for that matter; because we are constrained by a persistently unknown issue that the hardware just doesn’t seem to meet the minimum system requirements to run a game based on a UE3 engine made by Splash Damage. How old is UE3? And when did you think my desktop was built? It makes sense that newer hardware should be able to handle older software pretty easily… right?

I’m the only one being very vocal about this problem that has been dragging for ssssoooooo F U C K I N G loooong because no one else has the tenacity, dedication and love for this game that NO is not an option for me, or no one just can figure it out. No one can explain why a multi-threaded game would call for a hardware level interrupt repeatedly from an overloaded core whereas the other three are just processing other trivial things. No one can explain why a process has to be exclusively and repeatedly be serviced by a specific core and why it cannot execute on three others. The technical nature of the problem is just so beyond you, all you can think of is a sweeping, “re=install the game, if not re-install the OS and see what happens…” And if all else fails after that? What will you think of this time? That I should not install hamsters to spin the fan of my GPU? Have you any sense at all to realise how the approach of problem isolation has lead to the interim solution of stop-starting the game to free the core of DPC stacks that cannot be serviced by just 1 core out 4? Do you think that the peace of mind of knowing that it wasn’t the OS, or STEAM or UE3 configuration is really worth the effort of wasting 4 hours of installing and configuring everything in Win10? If you don’t have faith in your knowledge, try not to sound so prophetically practical that you think I or we haven’t done the most obvious things to solve the problem because it takes more finness and skill to analyse the root cause of the problem from symptom to cause, and come up with a solution.

And yes… I thought it was NGS, but then I figured out it wasn’t BlackCipher.aes that was causing the problem just before the switch to EAC and it was DB itself. It was only after the change to EAC that reinforced what I found out, so speculations that the problem was being caused by NGS does not hold.

Do you even know how and why I narrowed down the cause of the problem at all?

@K1X455

I doubt its a hardware issue on your end, but what I was suggesting is it could be other software intruding and causing your game to not function as normal. I never told you to reinstall the game, that almost never helps, because if its a software issue its usually something else on your system.

I’ve had issues with games in the past where I could have swore it was the game itself, then after troubleshooting multiple aspects I found out it didn’t like a certain program that I was using, which at the time I would never have guessed would interfere.

I’ve even had another program fail to start up because of a different program I had installed to auto minimize a couple of things I run on startup. That same program also caused none of my Origin games to download. Origin would start, I could play anything I had already installed, but any new download would just outright fail for some reason. The problem program didn’t even have anything to do with my internet connection, which made it harder to find out it was conflicting.

I feel your pain for not being able to play this game properly.
I wish it were working properly for you, and I wish you could get proper support on the problem but what you are doing isn’t helping your issue become resolved, it instead just comes off as a cry for attention. Like… “oh there is K1X455 again to come complain about his glorious 0.44fps again lol”. Except that I’m not actually laughing.

But honestly, I’m just starting to get annoyed of seeing you complain about this same problem over and over again in every thread, its to the point where it has become spam.

You’re annoyed??? You think I’m amused by it? Hell, I’m thinking hard how to turn my frustration to humour so I can just laugh about it. It’s a game. Why will I spend energy on venting frustration for a game?

You think it’s software??? There you go again… speculating and wondering without looking at the clues; pretentiously trying to be helpful. What application do you suppose is making hardware interrupts repeatedly? What application do you suppose executes only in 1 core when there are 3 others that can share the load? NGS? EAC? ATI Radeon Graphics Driver? ASUS Network Drivers? ASUS Win10 Driver? Anti-Virus? Discord? TeamSpeakIII? Google Chrome running in the background with 40+ tabs open (32GB of memory has its perks)?

Everything else works fine except for this one because of some other firmware/software. Maybe it’s just the app itself cause it used to work prior to SSIII. Have you figured that one out?

Not to derail this thread that is dangerously out of topic, but just something that could possibly enlighten you to what you are suggesting. Recently, a breakthrough has transpired with my EAC debugging over Dirty Bomb ; I used to have a repeated problems with EAC because it’s always performing an out of bounds error right smack in the middle of a firefight in DB. Then I asked a question on the STEAM’s Easy Anti Cheat Forums and it turns out that I’m being blamed for sandboxing a region of memory. I told them that that region of memory in question is used and reserved by ESET anti-virus/home security system and is trying protect itself from unauthorized scans. I told them that it’s a legitimate application to use in home security and it turns out that they got a version conflict in their scanning. In mainland US, ESET is using v10 and in Australia, we’re only using v9. So after this explanation, out of bounds error stopped crashing my game. What do you know? Knowledgeable people making information exchange solves the problem. They probably adjusted their active scan during firefights and ever since I told them what it was in that region of memory that they claim was sandboxed, the out of bounds error stopped. Now all I have is micro-freezes… but that’s another story to tell for another day.

What do you suppose I can discover and accomplish when developers of Splash Damage makes me look under the hood of their netcode?

@K1X455 @SnakekillerX Please, let’s not start a fight.

@K1X455 I’m going to share with you a computer cleaning procedure. It might or might not solve your issues with DB not working properly, but can’t be bad. I remember having a friend who kept complaining about his computer being slowed down : I made him run that procedure, and now his computer works very nicely. I recommend you strongly to follow it, even if you feel like your computer isn’t swarmed by malwares.

 1. Download ADWCleaner. No need to install anything. Launch it, click on “SCAN” and let it do it’s work. Once it’s done cleaning, if the software found something, clean it, restart your computer and launch ADWCleaner again until it does not find anything else. If it couldn’t find anything, it means you’re good. Remove the software from your computer, reboot, then go to step 2.
 2. Download Junkware Removal Tool ON YOUR DESKTOP, I REPEAT : PUT IT ON YOUR DESKTOP, THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT. No need to install anything. Launch it, let it clean your PC. Reboot your computer afterwards, remove JRT and go to step 3.
 3. Download Malwarebytes. Put it up to date and launch a complete scan. This will probably take a while but it shouldn’t prevent you from playing. I recommand you to let it do its work and avoid playing anything while it’s scanning your files. When the scan is done, put everything in quarantine/remove it.

Download links :

Tell me then if it solved anything. If those software couldn’t find anything on your computer, it very probably means that your computer is clean and the issue is somewhere else.

@Eox Thank you for your advice.

So as not to derail this thread any further, follow the results of the scan H E R E.
