I think that that bright grass look is brilliant, as it creates an atmosphere that’s different from current maps - especially in that first picture with the trees, and the bright grass with dappled shadows on it.

Looks beautiful in some shots, the grass isn’t too bright at all, I think it looks great.

I don’t see any reflection in that first picture though :???:

Finally someone with the balls to make a bright map! Its awsome to see after all those depressing rain dark b* s* maps.

Hehe I know what you mean with all the dull, dark monochrome maps. Thing is it’s not totally the mappers fault, the textures we have to use are like this, but also even when using custom textures everything seems to have this desaturated, washed-out look once you run a map in ET. Works great for those types of map, but it’s hard to get vibrant textures in game, at least I find it hard anyway.

I suspect these screenshots have seen a small touch of editing to make them look more saturated and brighter than usual :slight_smile: (Could be wrong though)

I never understood why mappers aint using the Oasis/Golrush textures more. Those are nice and bright. Mappers who make them dark maps should be forced to offer a prozac coupon with their downloads :wink:

Look at fueldump thats the way mappers should make use of those textures. At least that is my non mapper just player opinion :slight_smile:

I like bright maps as its more even ( ie dark maps and l33t players who customise it so everything if bright as fuck anyway so they can pick peeps off unfairly)

although i know this map is easily going to be one of the greatest maps on ET, i must say i am a bit sad that there is no word of a tank map yet.

All those wonderful nights playing tank. I can’t imagine how this level will compare to the glory that is tank, but i will reserve my judgement for now. Any map you make i will be thankfull for. :clap:
