Allow us to destroy our own blockades too!

(ChaosPinhead) #1

I think very much so that we should have the ability to target our own para-dropped blockades that the general drops if we so choose. I don’t understand it’s …immunity to friendly fire when almost all special abilities can be used on your own troops if we so choose too. More than once I have been shafted by an ill placed blockade and was unable to do anything about it because it’s immune to my own fire. Sure it makes you think twice about where to put them but, its a concrete block, why can’t I shoot it

I also think I should be able to drop it on an enemies head forcing them 1 square in a random direction and causing a small concussion for 1 round (half energy) …just for humor’s sake.

Forces you to place it wisely
And you can use ur opponents block against him if he cast it premature.
You can still splash damage it with grenades and all. Which is as I prefer it. When your opponent has put your block to 15 HP with the plan of finishing it of in his next turn and reign hell on you, then you just finish it yourself and replace it with a brand new (after filling his troops with lead)and he can start all over again.

Just my opinion, it’s an object, it only makes sense to me that I should be able to shoot the thing later if I so decide. It also is annoying when you can’t use more than one because the enemy decides never to take it out. And we can’t take it out because there isn’t enough splash damage to go around, so it renders your ability useless for the rest of the match.

I agree with crozzton. the way it is it is a nice tacital addition but not overpowered or with too muhc impact on the gameplay. ppl would just run around putting blocks everywhere. or like when you play against the computer and it immidiatly goes for the blocks, that just gets boring too quickly

(ChaosPinhead) #6

So update the AI to not always attack “droppables”. That is a simple fix.
And I wasn’t saying allow deploying “multiple” blocks. You only have what 3-4 to use through the whole match. I was saying since you can use only one, if you deploy one and the enemy doesn’t take it out, the ability is rendered useless the rest of the match because you can’t take it out yourself. I just wanted the ability to take out my own block in the small chance I want/need to later on. Anyhow was just my opinion. Dropping it now.

I think its good as it is…

(ChaosPinhead) #8

Any reason your not playing our match? Seen you on here posting all morning but our game has been sitting idle evil eye

(Crozzton) #9

Well I understand the idea behind it chaos and arguments can be made for both. Just wanted to state the tactics for its current use. It is as “unreal” as Gus’s water cannon can’t put out a fire

(Catnadian) #10

Gus’s water cannon seems a bit much. I thought it was a directed no-radius attack but apparently it’s like a grenade made out of water that deals 40 damage when I stopped to pay attention.

(Crozzton) #11

Deals 0 damage at some of the splash areas (second row I believe) but can still push

(Crozzton) #12

Was that me btw? Had a busy day so been a bit idle there I am afraid. Back to erase your toons ^^

(PERRIX) #13

Stupidiest idea ever!!

(ChaosPinhead) #14

Thank you for your insightful thoughtful comment. rolls eyes

So by targeting the right square, basically, you can do a zero-damage push to your own unit for two squares? Okay, that’s definitely way too much.
