Why ranks are allowed for “ranked” matches only? Add ranks for every public match based on wins/losses.

He is absolutely right, ranks should always be ‘there’ - whether visually or not, so that it balances matches!
I actually think I get your point, sort of how League has an MMR for each of their different game modes, but only the ranked as a visual rank? If that’s what you mean, I’m pretty sure casual matchmaking would be required or else it’ll still be highly unbalanced. I mean, how else would you be able to determine someone’s rank.
Besides, I don’t think just having a rank from pub games equals more players. A competitive environment would perhaps, but it should be kept in the competitive mode. I might be misunderstanding the point, who knows.
Exactly, most games, if not all have some kind of ranking system, hidden or visual.
If you are a new player, an average or below fps player, you’ll soon leave dirty bomb if you get wrecked over & over. Making rooms Max level 5 or 10 is not fixing it, a Lvl 3 can destroy a Lvl 100!
It’s pretty apparent, player retention in this game is terrible & I can only assume this has something to do with it.
It’s also very clear that team balance causes even the better players no reason to bother too. I personally can’t be fucked to play a game, heal, revive, repair the EV & kill just to lose as my team mates run the wrong direction constantly.
If you were able to have games that were close, almost zero ‘wtf are you doing’ rage, how nice would that be?

If you want a rank play ranked. It’s that simple.
TL;DR There is already hidden “rank” for pubs.
Lets keep the visual rank foolery for Ranked mode itself. It is not “Competitive” either, pfft, far from it. Its merely a good introduction to comp mechanics but thats for a different thread.
The thing you ask for is already there, every player has hidden Public Skill Rating that Obj and Exe lobbies try to utilize when creating teams. But.
See where the issue is already? It can only work with people currently in the specific lobby, very small amount of people. If the server for example is a free-for-all one (and considering shit I’ve seen in minlvl10’s, no server is safe from this), there can be anything between complete scrub who learned WASD this morning to someone who has been here since DB was merely an alpha-stage weekend testing project. There is no such system that could always evenly distribute such players around.
Casual Matchmaking comes into the picture here obviously. With that, same MMR system can now work with every single player accross entire continent queing at the given time, having much larger base to work with when creating teams for a match.
Levels arent even taken into account in this MMR equation. They’re just something some people take way too seriously without real reason.
Aren’t KD and Scores actually tell the skill level that you are currently at ? But they just dont show them expect in the end and mid.
yeah but i often dont play ranked (not only in DB) cause of the try hards if ranked was every where it would be hell full of try hards and certenly we will get some report cancer like in league so please no
instead of putting a badge for pubs and calling them ranks, just look at your level and tell yourself thats your ‘rank’, and when casual mm comes out your level will function THE EXACT SAME as a RANK
if giving rank in pubs… tell me. WHO DAFUK would play rank then? pls think this throough. Balance? SD already has the stats from matches, they should make some use outta that. Just like the stats in the recent matches. Rank is rank. pubs are pubs.

Your level is not a measure of your skill, just how long you have played the game for. It will never be used as your competitive rank.

Yes. And medals in the army are only a number of metal pins. Obviously a Recruit or a Private has the same strategic knowledge and war experience as a Veteran.

Why do we have ranks in any form in real life and in gaming when experience is only a number and doesn’t matter?
No. I don’t want to see rankings for non-competitive public games. If I wanted that, I’d play comp. And I’m sure I’m not alone.
You need to understand the playerbase is here for a reason. They don’t want some CS:GO style ultra competitive game, they want a casual game. So no, ranks = less players.
