Allow Explosives & Sniper Rifle Headshots Apply Damage Though A Revive Shield.

This poll is to try and get peoples opinions on the idea of allowing sniper headshots and explosives to do damage regardless of Revive Shield. The primary reason for this suggestion boils down to cost to the attacker. The ability to Revive Shield though air strikes, arty strikes, nades, mines, fire and headshots is a little too much when compared to the effort from the attacker, in my opinion of course.

NOTE: This is talking about Revive Shield ONLY!!! Spawn Protection should remain as it currently is (or possibly even buffed).

This poll is for all them people that have had that headshot sound and no kills!
The people that wasted their ability due to a team revive chaining though it!

I can see the argument for explosives, but not really for sniper headshots.

I would keep it simple though, making exceptions to any kind of invulnerability system is going to be pretty awkward to communicate.

Personally would only want explosions at a push.

Like I asked Potty, does this mean you would also be happy for explosives/abilities to damage though the revive shield?

I can see the argument for it, but I don’t think it would be elegant design so I would still vote no. I don’t think the gains would outweigh the awkwardness of it.

we just need proper hitsounds; and a more visible shield. And possibly some slowdown to a just revived character (walking speed for 1 sec)?

I agree with explosives, they are valuable enough (cooldown cost) that it’s frustrating to see it wasted on an invulnerable target shortly after res. With sniper the cost isn’t really significant as you just have a rechamber time, but I can see it being frustrating on a similar level as explosives, as you are using an ability that could/should gib but ends up not.

Also this buffs fraggers a bit by making baiting more effective (priming & tossing nade ontop of medic & downed enemy to at least ensure a medic kill). Probably not a big thing, but worth mention I guess.
