AllocRenderModel Problem FIX

(Sind) #1

This big problem that troubled me and troubles a lot of people can be fixed very easily and shortly. I use WinXP, but maybe it works on the Win7 I don’t know.

So, here’s the fix, step by step:

  1. Open up Brink.
  2. Wait for all the intros to pass by and be at the Character Selection Screen.
  3. Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete.
  4. Look for the Processes tab and select it.
  5. Find brink.exe.
  6. Right click on brink.exe
  7. Select ‘Set priority’
  8. Set it to the Highest or Realtime, depends on your system.

If you get the AllocRenderModel crash again, just write here, maybe it didn’t fixed it for you, or maybe you did something wrong.

Thanks.

Already stated this didn’t work for lots of people
At any rate, it will only mask the problem, making it harder to actually find the issue to fix
More helpful would be to post your crash dump files

you would be better off getting more ram or disabling any freeram programs you have running, if you system runs out and your program free all of your ram then most game cache will be cleared too

I really appreciate your help but again nothing…5 min and boom!
I already lost the hope

if you overclock you ram, set the timings to mobo default/auto

desktop and games can run fine, you will know if an overclock is stable when you compress a 2gb wav -> mp3

I would have thought it went without saying that the first thing to try would be setting all your hardware to stock speeds

sometimes ram problems are because your system is too cold, which is why windows never works in the winter when you cold boot from power off, you usually have to get the drive image out if you keep pressing restart without leaving your chips to warmup abit

try and save abit of time by getting the hair dryer out
