i asked to borrow the weapons from Vs but got no…so the only way is to make our own…:tongue:

Thought about an M1 carbine? Figure someone has made one already though…boring, but in high frequency at least in the ww2 genre.

ASAIK The 30 round banana magazine/clip on that prop picture would pretty much mean that it was originally either an M2 carbine or post-WWII.

Well I actually had to think about it now that you’ve asked me, because the regular stock version iis a bit more “robust” looking then the paratrooper version, but the folding stock at the bottom would compliiment any airborne player model skins.

I think the choice depends on what it is to replace. if it is replacing the fg42 I vote for the M1A1 (folding stock) with a scope added. If it is replacing the Thompson I would say do the M2 (M1 with banana clip). It did have a M8 rifle grenade option so it could replace the engineers Garand rifle grenade option (in which case do the [short clip M1). The M3 could replace the sniper rifle but the M3 were extremely rare. Ironically the M1 was designed to replace the .45 pistols that weapons crews and company grade officers carried.

Slightly off-topic the M4 bayonetwould be a nice touch if any mod was made to supporta mounted bayonet instead of the basic knife

a mounted knife is no problem as a model, but beeing able to take it off…well to far gone for me at the moment…
i’ve just started looking at the source and do infact understand some of it…(wow:tongue:)

but at the moment i’m working on a tutorial to how to replace the thompson with another gun…:cool:

A mounted knife that you can stab with, now that would be something. But it would be hard to script i think.
