it’s coming heirpie, and better than before. larger town, new train area… new airstrip area, buildings added, command post moved so allies can spawn at a 2nd location when trying to take the axis base. i scapped all the terrain to go with alphamod blending… which makes nicer terrain and will simplify blending the snow into roads and such. obviously a newer better blimp, 360 degree visibilty. also… a new added feature i slapped in last week is a truck for the allies only that sits in a tunnel and waits to get loaded up with allied players, then it takes off through the 2nd axis base along the streets and makes a full circle and comes back to a stop where it started.
reason for that is ive noticed the allies have a tough time getting into the 2nd base ( mostly because of that quick panzer bug which is also fixed ) at least now they can use the truck for cover.
its a standard snow blitz truck that i removed the plank seats from inside and redid the front wheels so they actually turn independent of each other so it looks good when the truck turns… the wheels will turn in the direction of that turn… ( there is a season turn turn turn… thought i’d add that since i said ‘turn’ so many times already… ) and so on =P
also added is a new path to the airstrip for the allies though the axis air traffic control tower, which is a good place for axis snipers/panzers to cover the field also.
new models are also added, planes and so on. and another thing ive been experimenting with is multiple endings to the map… well… it’s one ending for the map… but randomly selected from a pile of different endings at the start of the map… like the tank at the end of oasis… from my experimenting, it seems its more than possible to have a pile of different endings to the map, so it plays a different ending everytime the map is over…
i’ll try and implement that in my new map coming out…
lot of changes coming, however…
ive been spending my spare time working on that map and my current map, and the changes are my current map will be out 1st ( i already sent the map to schaffer for the cm work )
freaking huge ctf map, mad scientist style castle… tons to do besides the standard ctf stuff. once i get that one out, i’ll finish off aa to beta.
