ads takes so much more skill than hipfire, you actually have to aquire your targets and if your doing it right control recoil to kill the noob that’s hipfiring
Aiming? Wots Dat?
as i said in a thread, i feel like everyone elses’ weapon is better than mine…
I shoot a load to kill and some peeps 3-4 bullets
ADS dont take more skill then hip firing, thats ridiculous, thats COD kids coming here with their BS. Ever played CS? Quake? UT? No ADS in none of those games, and if they dont take skill then I dont know what does!
I would go so far as to say that ADS takes less skill then hip firing because you slow down and zoom in. While hipfiring allows for max moverability, more fast paced. The problem is not ADS, the problem is the weapon mechanics themselves. Solution: Less spread and more recoil, forcing people to burst fire instead of spraying. Saying hip fire = spray and pray is ridiculous. No recoil = spray and pray is more correct.
i dont think you have any ide what your taking about ADS severly reduces recoil and
i shoot, probably 25,000 rounds every year its definitely much more tactical to aim down the saight
IRL takes more skill to hipfire than to aim down site. here its a joke to hipfire and takes no skill just spray and PRAY that youll hit.
those games didnt have ads cause they didnt realize "oh this might help people that actually know how to shoot.
try to hipfire with a barnett you will die
Chill dude, and btw in brink you will also die with one shot as light/medium if it hits you in the head, and about your reply what he sayd was acurrate you can die pretty fast in brink.
I think there’s some skill in aiming, because a truly good BRINK player can be the one who gets more headshots from the hip than the other guy.
Someone mentioned Duke Nukem… don’t… that compared to this… please… DNF just… omfg I can’t believe it… XD
You know I’m mostly a body shot kind of guy, and I use a range of weapons (none of them being the Carb 9) and they all have they’re issues but I don’t have much of a problem killing any one. I can usually rack up 30-50 kills each game and keep up with the objectives.
It takes me (generally) 3-5 seconds to put down a target, partly because even if you do burst fire all of your bullets don’t hit the same area because the spread is so large at mid to long range where I do most of my shooting, I use a reflex sight of some kind on my main weapon(s) and iron sights on my side arm(s) I do enjoy a mid range scope but the scopes available in brink aren’t super acurate the redicule moves about and sways and I don’t like that a whole lot.
But to get to the point I get most of my kills down the sights, I mostly only hip fire when SMART-ing and it’s not the funnest expiriece. you have to make the decision to pully up your sites and stop firing for that 1 second or spray and pray. I don’t usually do exceptionally well at close range given the melee sucks in this game and like to knock down opponents who get that close to me. So yeah… I aim more than not aim.
“Acquire your targets” sounds like a fancy term for pointing your gun at the enemy.
Clearly you have to do that with hipfire as well.
You have to control your recoil with hipfire as well…especially when it comes to the assault rifles.
Again, hipfire does not mean spraying. Those who aim well, and those who fire in bursts beat those who spray.
I hope you only talk about current Brink incarnation, where there’s too much spread for weapons to make precise aiming rewarding and it promotes spraying. It’s the case for hip firing and ADS all the same
“acquire your target” is just aiming, how is it different when hip firing?

Rhett, muzzle break, fore grip, COGA scope
ftw
reduce every weapon’s damage or increase everyone’s health.
Seriously, this game plays just like cod, 3 bullets to kill someone(slight exaggeration). I really miss w:et type shooting. Heck, et:qw introduced iron sights and was also great to play, i was impressed.
This game really requires no aiming and you win a firefight 100% when you approach from behind or when someone is doing something.
just decrease fire rate, make it like ETQW or ET.
should do the trick
You can easily kill people from long-range with smgs easily if you aim it
mad? barely, it’s annoying to have to play with people that constantly uses the carb-9 with a light body-type and sucks the fun out of the game and the gun is obviously still OP.

This is the stupides thing I’ve read in a while. Are you serious? I see your sig states you’re a troll, Im gonna go with that.
Cause to me it seems you have no idea what you’re talking about. Seems like you’ve only played COD and think since COD does it it takes skill. I remember when COD 1 came out and introduced ADS, it was really cool, but it in no way added more skill to weapon use.
25k roumds a year, no wonder you have no idea what you’re talking about, thats like what I do in a weak.
IRL you dont hipfire, if you do you are ****ing stupid because its random and has nothing to do with skill. I have hip fired weapons IRL, I know what Im talking about.
As I said previously, if you think those games dont take skill you dont know what you’re talking about and you’re ****. COD is basically extremely noob friendly, there its who sees first gets the kill, you dont have to be able to actually aim or control your weapon because 1 bullet will kill them, unless you just knife them, which also is only 1 stab to kill.
No one hip fires with a sniper rifle, no one ever has in pretty much any game! There has always been zoom for sniper rifles in video games and always will be.
Hate to say it but I have actually resorted to hip firing with the Barnet when I have been closed by an enemy and I have no ammo in secondary. It does take skill to place your shot whilst strafing and patience not to fire off to early when your getting shot back. Made some very good surprise kills (with the screaming accusation of aim-botting thrown in!), though I agree this is not the situation you normally find yourself using a sniper rifle.
I have the maximus for when I want to make noise, as it really doesn’t do anything else, and the Rockstedi for real damage.
The Rockstedi rocks (steadily)… It’s my favourite gun at the moment…admittedly with the carb-9 in the 2nd slot.
