I’ll predict right now that when Aimee is released, she’ll be absolutely slaughtered if played by newer players, but completely godlike in the right hands. She’ll then be nerfed heavily in the update following the Rogue en Vogue update. And I didn’t want to bring this up…but can anyone even fathom an Aura/Rhino combo with a snitch device stuck to the wall…I’m keen
Aimee prediction
Yes, Aimee will be deemed as overpowered initially - like most new mercs after their release. I just hope that the devs will give it a few months before making changes to the merc. Just like Dota2, people need time to get used to the hero and adapt to the changing meta brought upon by the new member.
People WILL adapt over the course of 2-3 months, if by then your graphs or records still shows that having Aimee around drastically improves the win rate, then by all means, nerf her Snitch device by a few seconds.
Do not go down on her with the nerf hammer just because people can’t adapt to her yet and complain like kids. Give it time and we will know if she needs to be nerfed.
P.s. They’re gonna go crazy when the snitch device does 1 damage to 80hp mercs and allow Aimee to 1 shot instagib them. This will definitely be one of the main complains and I implore you guys, the devs, to give it time and then judge if she’s op.
@RazielWarmonic Sorry cm, just gotta tag you in this foreshadowing of Aimee’s possible demise.
Certain downsides to consider when playing Aimee;
-She has low health and has low chance against a Proxy/Fletcher/Aura etc in her face.
-She does not have an Ability that will grant her instant kills upon activation like Fragger’s nade or stoker’s Molotov when thrown at a low hp merc. Her ability to instant kill is dependent on her SNITCH device. She needs to place it, then wait for enemies to get zapped THEN land a well placed HEADSHOT to secure the kill.
-She won’t do well in scenarios where you need to infiltrate key points that the opponent is positioned at. (For eg; Any good Aura and Rhino players will know how to hold a point and conceal their position. Given the SNITCH’s short range and obvious travel indicator, there’s almost no chance for you to debuff the both of them while they’re already in position.)
-She doesn’t provide ammo, health but only vision and a debuff to a small number of players (Because the chances of you debuffing every opponent at once is near impossible)
-If she doesn’t get SNITCH to debuff enemies, she’s just a weaker, lower hp, vasilli.
-She’s a damn sniper that relies on pure accuracy to get kills i.e. High skill cap.
I just feel the debuff will be a bit too much. Hope mercs with 110 HP will be save from body oneshot kills.
That’s pretty much guaranteed. Based on what we saw in the role call the bonus damage is somewhere between +25% and +33%. So Fel-ix bodyshot does between 99 and 105. Grandeur headshot: 100-106. PDP headshot: 113-119,7 - here the rounding method makes a big difference.
ability will be nerfed in a few weeks (days if sd works hard), a buff to dmg when u got guns like these is just to op…
The point of the ability is to make it look OP. They put it through the PTS for a reason
@neverplayserious You’re almost never going to debuff the entire enemy team. So the perk of dealing more damage to the opponents doesn’t always happen.
In a team of 5 players, perhaps you can get 2 of them zapped then they’ll destroy your SNITCH device. It’s not OP when you have mercs like fragger, which I use a lot, that can kill people instantly with his Nade. Before the nerf, I killed 6 people with a single nade at the last obj on Bridge. 6 People.
To me, she’s only good at the defending side where you can place your SNITCH at strategic positions to prevent incoming enemies.
On the attacking side however, its not easy to place SNITCH at a good position when you’re the one who has to breach their defense and when you can’t get SNITCH to work in your favor, you’re just a weaker version of vasilli with low hp and sniper rifles/Grandeur
Remembering about that phantom nerf … and i doubt that aimee will also be nerfed for her single body shot kills
I can only imagine the extreme nerf skyhamner would have gone though had he been released now…
Complains about Aura’s healing station being OP pop up every now and then, but I never heard anything about Skyhammer.
@SirSwag and what’s op about skyhammer? the easiest to avoid ability in the game isn’t that good for killing people.

Then that would kinda be the same for red eye with the GSR. I can effectively top with red eye without even using his smoke or even his IR. And it is normally on min lvl 10. She won’t be that hard with attacking. If you’re good with vas with the PDP or FELIX, or Redeye with the GSR. It really won’t be that different. For those with experience with those guns. I’m sure multiple people have effectively attacked at some point with a recon.
In my opinion most of so called "op"mercs are not even op. It is just how does the player play with it and the ways it plays and how does that look in eyes of his enemy.
Example: Bushwhacker can be so called op when somebody is really good at placing turrets. They say Nader is op because of her nades but beleive me if you are not that good with her and throwing her nades she is not that op.
Sparks is so called op because of her weapon that can reviev and kill people, Proxy because planting her mines everywhere, Kira and her op laser, Aura’s healling station and so on…
So yeah, when I run to an EV to repair and get killed by turrets or milion mines over and over again, does not mean mercs are op, it means that players in that team are good or whole team is really good.
So imo mercs are not op, it’s just every one of them is different and special in their kind of way, which is one of the reasons why I like this game and it’s not like other FPS games.
So yeah, don’t call mercs op, call other players or teams op xD
, if that’s the way you like to #playdirty

Torch, the difference is that pubbers will call anything op, but when a good chunk of the (back then existant) competitive community had issues with Sparks and Redeye I’d listen to them.
Stoker kind of suffered from this but his nerf came out months after his release and, well…slightly less initial damage on mollies is barely anything. Thunder didn’t suffer from this at all (probably because he was underpowered). Honestly, there is a 50/50 chance that Aimee will be OP or UP (I’ve going with OP with her power)…okay more like 49/49/2 (2% chance she might be balanced).
@“Grave Knight” Yeap, I’m totally okay if they nerfed the duration after waiting for a few months. I mean, even nerfing the damage increase wouldn’t be bad but they have to keep in mind that, Aimee has significantly lower health than Vasilli, therefore it’s only natural that she gets made up for in the offense area.
