yeah, yeah. I agree with a lot of what you are saying.
I think they could find a way to differentiate the dreiss from the new fully auto to make both weapons sufficiently lethal.
For the railgun, I’m talking you would need to keep aim on your target for a balanced (decent) amount of time before it would be a one-shot body shot. AND that would only be for lighter mercs. Take the numbers I stated in the video with a grain of salt they are arbitrary placeholders that could have no actual baring on what it would be like in the game.
Yes I agree, the higher mobility/ climbing walls and stuff would have to be play tested a lot before being released as the maps in Dirty Bomb are definitely not made for that. So, limitations on height and where she could go would have to be made. I thought of it more as a useful tool for getting around the map rather than finding an abusive spot to hide in a get a load of kills. That is the great thing about the forum though as something like that would get reported very quickly and it could undoubtedly be patched. I’m not trying to turn her into a character from Overwatch although the ability would be similar, I thought of it before I became interested in Overwatch it wouldn’t function in the exact same way due to the two games having fundamentally different design. I agree though, we don’t need a cop cat. COUGH rhino, TF2 COUGH
Yes indeed I totally agree with you, phantom does need to be fixed however I don’t think it is necessary to make it so that another character is unable to benefit from a similar ability because of his brokenness. It would really function in the same way either as she is unable to use/ have ready any sort of weapon while it is active. Also, if she moved with it active it would become a lot less useful similar to the way phantoms cloak functions however in a much more drastic way.
Ah, I think you misunderstood my C4 idea. It is not like the C4 that is on the objectives in that it needs to be armed or disarmed. I agree, that would be completely overpowered if the way you said it was the case. No, it is meant to be more of a stealthy explosive weapon if you get what I mean. Difficultish to see, with highish damage and radius, it would be used in perhaps the way you can place a grenade in an enemies inventory in Fallout and then wait for that enemy to get close to another, then manually detonate it. Or you could leave it by a health station and decide when the right moment is. Hence the emphasis on stealth etc.
I really don’t intend to make an overpowered character which is particularly painful for any one merc to play against. Please understand this. Many of the numbers I stated in the video might be wildly inaccurate and in need of adjustment.
Thank you for voicing your concern as others may have had the same issue with the ideas. And really that’s just what they were, ideas. Some may work, others not. I just want Aimee to be a great, interesting, and fun to play merc, that’s all.
sorry for the essay length response BTW, just thought it was better to clarify than leave it hangin.
