Hello. Im new to this forum and relatively new to Brink. All in all I am over the moon with this game , but I have to say - the match I just finished made me scream, curse and shake with utter fury, the likes of which have not been seen since Stuntman on PS2. It was the map where we had to escort the resistance dude. We flew through the first bits (blow the door, hack the thingy and deliver the whatsit and open the infirmary). We got the blokey within 10m of the finish with over 10 mins left! Then… Complete and epic failure took over! Both teams were full, but for some reason I was the only Medic on the resistance??? WHY??? Times like this I wish I hadnt pawned my headset!! Rant over. Sorry. Still love the game tho.

Yep. The biggest problem I have with Brink is that if you aren’t playing with friends, many times those teams full of random people are just horrible. I don’t like playing Brink solo on a team full of idiots. Drives me insane most of the time. Gotta communicate and use real teamwork to win in this game.

While playing with friends that know what they are doing is preferable, playing with randoms that know what they are doing is pretty darn good too. With friends you aren’t surprised when they play well but with randoms you are & that makes playing with randoms sometimes pretty darn satisfying.

Sometimes, saying it in the ingame chat can push some people to switch to the lacking class.

I know I don’t hesitate to scream on the chat when I notice an obvious lack of balance in classes or teams.

I don’t play multiplayer without friends for that exact reason. There’s those people who like to destroy all the enemies and not pay attention to the goal.Medics are credit to team :stuck_out_tongue:

I had an interesting experience the other day in an 8v8 on PC. We were security on Container City, and when I joined, half of the team was sniping or whatever. Actually, there seemed to be a lot of beginners…cause I noticed people on both teams just randomly exploring the map…haha.

Anyway, it was the first bot escort section, and it seemed hopeless…but with about 2 minutes left, I asked everyone in chat to help out with the bot…told them to select it on their objective wheel so that they could find it. With about 1 minute left, everyone managed to come together and complete that section…and went on to complete the whole map.

Then the next game, someone voted for Container City again, so it was the same map, as Security again. Again, most of the team was sniping, or hacking that pointless door that actually helps the defense spawn camp you better, etc. With about 2 minutes left, we were in the exact same position as in the previous game… the EXACT SAME position. So, I started asking people to go to the bot and help out. However, this time, someone, who apparently wasn’t in the previous match, responded “Dude, its already over.”

Anyway, in a pub, I don’t get frustrated by beginners who don’t know what they are doing. I see it as part of the game…the team that wins is the one that manages to coach up their beginners the best.
