Can we please get an official word on what the 3mb xbox360 patch was all about
After patch lag on 360
I have to agree that the lag issues are still present after the update on xbox 360 which I got yesterday.
Why this is I do not know, some game,s are ok but not enough of them.
Maybe its down to the host’s but then you think the game should be able to sort that quickly with host migration’s but these do not work all the time either. Internet connection,s/speed,s have nothing to do with these issue’s as I can play any other xbox live on-line title fine, even just had a fab month with GOW beta. And for the record my connection would be just average and I am in Europe but like I said I never had any problem’s until this game, maybe it’s connecting us to the wrong region’s by mistake or due to lack of player number’s in our own region?
I would say the people who refuse to accept that other people really do have issues and that its not there internet,s fault but the games fault are fan boys but then nobody is more of a fan boy of this game then me, maybe they are just boys!
GoW 3 beta ran fine because it was running on servers and when it was p2p it was gash. As for an average connection that’s ok to play but not if you get host. I used to get host only sometimes in Black Ops even with 2mb up, on Brink that’s perfect for 5 vs 5 but probably pushing it 8 vs 8.
1/2 to 1mb upload should be more than enough to support 8 v 8 with no issues, the number of packets needed to be sent aren’t that many.
Host selection has improved since the patch, I just feel the damage has already been done, the release buzz has been lost.
I just hope this has been a lesson to SD and Beth, (and other publishers) but it’s a shame it had to happen to a game which on the surface had so much promise.
Even now I still can’t work out if I am angry or sad about this whole mess. What I do know is there is a bunch of people at Beth or SD who deserve to be called ‘Muppet’s’ for the many decisions that made the release of Brink such a mess!
