I heard that in BRINK you can shoot the same with or without ADS, i mean bullets will hit the target at the same place, does not metter with or without ADS.
Is that true?
Thanks.
ADS is not must in this game to shoot correctly?
There were supposed to be abilities that you can apply which help you play pretty well without ironsights.
Not exactly, but to a certain extent that is true. The thing is, from what weâve been told, you can shoot âfrom the hipâ reasonably effectively out to medium range, as long as you use burst fire and stand basically still. Thatâs my understanding, anyways.
I think he means accuracy is the same regardless. I donât think thatâs the case, but I donât think thereâs a great diversity in accuracy between the 2 that you would see in other games like CoD.
Ahhh yesâŚspray and pray. Skill shots with the dgal from 3 football fields awayâŚclassy
I have a feeling that a ton of people are going to be disappointed when hipfiring in Brink isnât exactly like hipfiring in CS.
didnât someone at sd say some of thar minions play w/o sights? presumably it is doable.
im sure itâs doable but itâs not going to be the same as a game without ADS
ed: and I think some people are getting their hopes up
hm i like this feature, i didnt knew about it but to have the same accuracy for both zooming or hip
i like it !!! this will probably make the game pace faster : )
From what Iâve seen is that hip firing is much more accurate in this game than some of the recent games. Of course, ADS will be more accurate, but hip firing is going to be viable and I know Iâve heard them say that during one of the Dev Interview videos on YouTube.
It sounds like the way they have the gun customizations set up is if you like to hip fire you can pick a weapon reasonably good at that and customize it so itâs even better (of course the customizations all come with a trade off). If you are used to ADS you will most likely still have an accuracy advantage, particularly at long range, but thatâs OK because when you ADS you are giving up some situational awareness and movement options, so there should be a reason to do that.
Best of both worlds?

On the subject of trade off, I was trying to see how the Equip Speed stat effected weapon switching in the latest videos, and I was quite surprised to see how quick heavy guns were being switched.
yes, now that you mention it, it was extremely fastâŚhmm, werenât most of those switches from heavy to secondary? Will have to go back and re-watch.
ADS and hip-fire wonât have the same accuracy. ADS will, at the very least, reduce your spread from sustained fire.
But hip-firing will still be relatively accurate, particularly compared with other games that have ADS as an option.
