As being one of the owners of >RC|HNS i would love to see the black mail. Please post pictures… We would love to see this black mail. Because we as in >RC| know there is no black mail, tbh how would this script ruin our hns? its a map script, thats not going to kill us, you don’t have the original hns files to make hide n seek run correctly, so why does it matter :slight_smile: your just a mad little prick, who doesn’t know anything, steals is a theif and don’t give credits, all the owners asked for was credits after A specific someone gave it out… but i’m glad to see you posted it, because we all know, you sir have accomplished nothing but showing the community your a douche bag. You sir would be correct, he has been what you could call jealous. And was even treating us that he would sell the script or post it public if we didn’t give him our hs.lua for our server, i mean if you ask me that seems pointless to give him 2 things when he already has 1 and mapscripts are nothing. :smiley:

Adlernest is a little and fast comp map, while Adlerhorst is a giant pub and very long map :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s the ET community atm - one selfish clan makes something just for they own asses and other steals it. To RC admin - who allowed you to edit a free to play map to use for your own needs? That’s kinda stealing too. So a thief got robbed, how bad. No further comments…
BTW how many H&S mods are there now? 5? 6? Wouldn’t it be just better to work together to make it better, more stable mand popular?

BTW how many H&S mods are there now? 5? 6? Wouldn’t it be just better to work together to make it better, more stable mand popular?

Dersaidin (the adlernest mapper) allowed us to edit his map. He just told us to take a clearly other name so people can see that it is a different map. Sani edited the map for us (element and FL/RC h&s) and we gave him credits in connecting screen.

I know about 3 h&s mods: hnsmod (EA clan), hideNseek (RC/my mod), etpro->lua (element clan)
Element and me worked together to improve our h&s servers. Our h&s is based on lua so we helped each other. It’s hard to get people to hidenseek, that’s the reason we want to let it private.

@destroyer We are the same old FL ( frontline clan ) as we used to be, same hns mod just upgraded and more things added. we are just a sub clan of >RC| currently. and all playing on 1 server is just bad mate, everyone has a different opinion on hide n seek, some like no gib some like to be able to gib some, like to be in a clan of the server some want to have there own hns server, i mean its just like saying to chaos mod nitmod all the other mods why did you make that mod? theres already 1 mod why would you play at that mod. and as i see you are a map maker? now why would someone want to play your map they should all go play the maps currently made and say screw your map cause you know thats how the world works right? :slight_smile:

True (found the email from 2011-08-07).

I heard about the withholding mapscript business a little later (2011-09-06) when someone emailed me asking for the mapscript.
I disproved somewhat of holding back the scripts, but it is no big deal. Especially since, as I’m glad to now hear, they were since released. :slight_smile:

Note, the license on these is CC BY-NC-ND. That means you need to ask me for permission to release a derivative work.
As noted in the readme, I’ll probably be happy to give permission. The reason for ND is:

  1. So people wouldn’t fork it while I was working on it (I released enough betas without an alternate version confusing everyone back before it was established. (also why I specified adlernest_hns should be named differently so it is clear that it is not official adlernest)
  2. To give me the chance to help people - usually help them see that their idea to change one little thing was not worth the effort, could be done by mapscript, or would probably ruin gameplay. (I did dissuade several people of stuff like this - I probably would have let them go ahead if they still wanted to after discussing the idea)

We are very thankfull that you allowed us to edit the map. However we didn’t hold back the mapscript. There is one in the adlernest_hns.pk3. It’s just the point that we didn’t add the stuff to remove the block :stuck_out_tongue:
It was just because ea hidenseek keept stealing stuff from us and we didn’t liked them.
PS: the map can only be used for lastmanstanding play so why should anyone care?
