Adding music background to the map

(*NOB* Perica) #1
  1. Is it possible to add MP3 music file playing in the background and not WAV? (size issues)

  2. How can I add say, music playing in Oasis or Goldrush:

a) Manually edit path in one of the map’s script files?

b) Using GTKRadiant command or something?

c) Neither of these? Help! :drink:

Boy, I don’t have luck on these forums…neither one of my topics gets replied. :=)

1.) As far as I know no mp3 support. Only wav.
2.) There’s a possibility to add speakers ingame.
Don’t know the name at the moment.
But there have been several posts covering that theme.

Edit:

I’ve just found sock’s LDR again.
Has not been reachable for a moment.
Take a look at:

I think I’ve misunderstodd you.

You want to play music in stock maps like Oasis or Goldrush.
Do you want to play music if certain events take place?

You would need to alter the .SPS files and .script files.
While neither is impossible, what you’d then have is essentially a mini-mod requiring everyone to have it to play on a server with it enabled.
