I have a small stockpile of elite cases that I’m holding onto for when all the mercenaries are unlocked. I haven’t accidentally opened one yet, but when I’m opening equipment cases, I’ve noticed that they shuffle around my inventory.
I wanted to suggest adding a filter for them so that it don’t end up opening one of the elites.
I’ll have all three of you know that the only money I’ve spent on this game was last summer when I played DB for the first time and the ultimate pack was on discount. I received those elite and expert cases from the free weekend events SD has had since. Pretty funny comments you guys made. XD
I do appreciate you coming to my defense Haki. It is at times tricky to convey sarcasm through text. 
It was pretty obvious they were joking as that reference tends to be used in that manner. Given the context it’s a safe bet that nobody was “hating”.
pretty sure they are what they are, they won’t change to an unreleased as yet merc no matter how long you wait, they will be for a now existing merc
I have been opening them. Last week I received a cobalt skyhammer card from a dickens equipment case despite it being a 0.1% chance for a cobalt and a 0.3% chance of a special edition. Not that I’m complaining about a cobalt card, but I’ve opened hundreds of containment war and dickens equipment cases and no event loadout cards to show for it. 
The expert A,B,C cases are mercenary specific. The elite cases have no mention of this so I plan to continue to stockpile.
@Amerika With the recent update that was just released, I was wondering whether opening all cases applies only to the case that I right click on or whether it will open all of the cases in my inventory. I don’t want to open my stockpile of elite or expert cases, just the equipment and event cases.
Only to the case type you are opening. I did so with a few regular cases I had to see what it would look like before opening the last 40 of my dickens cases.
I was able to then open all of my dickens cases separately with the same option.

I feel like the option could use one more layer of polish though, rather than just show each one opening and moving up across the screen, it could perhaps give you a label for each rarity and a number representing how many cards you just opened that fall into that section like so…
Total Opened: 30
Lead: 25
Iron: 3
Bronze: 0
Gold: 1
Cobalt: 0
Special Edition: 1
It could then allow for you to click on each rarity type and let you inspect each card in that category. (with an option to move back to the opening results again)
Once you are done looking you could close out of the screen via something like a “Close Results” button.
