[QUOTE=brbrbr;246573]its truly wonderful idea, sure.
why “waste” money on research/design/produce something, instead of organize society to do it 4 free ?
until other companies - switch to same model, of course. then its become not advantage, but flaw[in terms of operative/strategic management].
trick is edge between [intellectual]slavery and “crowdsourcing” is sharp.
and to survive, both human society and developers/publushers should keep in mind “WHAT ACTUALLY WE DO ?” thing.
p.s. puting indian/aryan[google “India”/“Iran” 4 example] ideology/management into economics and everyday activity is awesome.
much more awesome, than [trying to produce]weak movies, like “Avatar”, 4 PR-backup 4 such vector.[/QUOTE]
I’m assuming you are saying that it is a good idea to integrate community made content into the game but that when alot of games do it, it isn’t such a good idea anymore because then developers don’t know to what extent should the game consist of community made content. If the majority of the game is made by the community, the integrity of the original game is lost or developers will try to min/max their resources and let the community do as much of the work as they can, if I understand you correctly.
I disagree, if there are people who have the tools to create something for a game they love, I don’t see anything that could stop them other than lack of knowledge of how to do it. That doesn’t mean what they make will fit the atmosphere of the game and will be approved, but if they want to make it let them, and if the developers like it, they should ask to use it. Who loses here?
