Add firend on steam...

(GhosteyGhost) #1

Hello guys :3.

So I am using steam just for dirty bomb cause it’s aweosme. I was close beta tester and I loved it. Now when it is in open beta, I want to play with my friends. So I haven’t spent 5€ yet, neither did they. So now we can’t play competitive matches together . What can I do? I mean like I won’t give Valve 5€ cause they aren’t worth it… Please help!

I’m confused by this. Is ranked connected to a small purchase before you can play it?

manipulate your friends how valve is beatiful company then they can add you

I don’t think so. You only need to be level 5 anyways.

(Derpfestor) #5

What is this firend you speak of?

I know that. But when I read what he said it sounded as if you had to make a small purchase before being allowed into competitive MM. Unless I am just completely misreading the OP’s post.

I mean steam is fucked up… if you want to play competitive you have to be premade. How can I inbite my friends if I can’t even add them on steam?

(Mr-Penguin) #8

Ah, I know the issue now. You haven’t spent any money at all on Steam (which is fine, I haven’t either), so you can’t add your friend, and your friend can’'t add you either because they haven’t spent any money either. This is a Steam problem, not a game problem.

(ThatRandomGuy) #9

Yea its STEAM PROBLEM. Not game…

Blame devs for depending soo much on Steam !

This is actually good… If a hacker gets banned he can’t just make a new acc and return that way… he has to spend 5$ everytime he does it.

(Mr-Penguin) #11

Then all of the hackers would go to casual matches.

(Smokahontas) #12

Your friends should be able to add you, although you haven’t spent a dime on Steam, unless they didn’t do that either. Send them your Profile (Steam ID).

It doesn’t work, none spent money on steam. Why did splash damage chose steam :(… It really sucks for us that play f2p games

They chose steam because it is the most used and diverse gaming platform in the world.

EDIT: They actually had many reasons, but that is probably the obvious one.

Almost every game chooses steam but has INDEPENDENT friend system

@MissMurder , Can we expect to get an independent friend system that links with out DB account and not steam ?
