Add an option to disable Cloud syncing of settings.

Because my Craptop does not have the same performance as my gaming PC.

Yes, although that is a Steam feature I believe, not an actual Dirty Bomb one. Go into your steam settings under “cloud” and there should be an option. I’ll double check as soon as I’m back at my PC, but I believe that’s correct…

Sounds correct to me. And yes, it is a steam feature. Although you should be able to disable for specific games if you right click on that game in your library and bring up the properties.

Couldn’t find it under the right-click properties selection as @Ardez said, else I would have screenshot that too >.<

But here it is:

Simply un-tick/un-check the first box in that window and click OK! Also, this is under your main Steam settings window! ^.^

  1. In your Steam Library, right-click on the game and select “Properties.”
  2. Click the “Updates” tab.
  3. Uncheck “Enable Steam Cloud synchronization for .”
  4. Click “Close.”

@Ardez Thought I was going mad then! It actually isn’t there on my steam - guess that’s why I couldn’t see it XD hahaha. Well anyways +1 for that c:

Yeah, that option isn’t there for Dirty Bomb. According to the store page it doesn’t have cloud sync, either.
Maybe OP is confusing something?

Odd. I didn’t think DB had cloud sync. My laptop does not have the same settings as my desktop.

Also, while I was there I did some FPS testing.

I actually fired up DB on my 2011 model Dell to see what performance was like on it. i7 Sandy Bridge with a 550m. Not exactly a gaming beast these days (or really ever was). Dirty Bomb actually ran 95-120fps at all times using my FPS config. I then forced the game to run off of the integrated graphics with the processor and I got 80-100FPS at all times. No hitching or any issues other than it wasn’t as much FPS as my desktop normally gets. And this is at 1080p as well.

It’s weird that some setups can’t even get 30-60fps constant where my rather terrible laptop gets better than that even on the lackluster integrated setup. Running windows 10 with the latest drivers for both the 550m and the onboard.

It is “syncing” some settings. Either in some non-steam-cloud or somewhere else than the usual userdir- or game-folders.

go here

c:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Roaming\Shooter\SaveData\

there ^^^ you’ll find long string of letters and numbers those are all mainly for keyboard ( and possibly list of bookmarked servers ) etc…

so back that up and delete it than go in game and make new profile for laptop and back up that one to

do same for c:\Users\YOURNAME\Documents\My Games\UnrealEngine3\ShooterGame\Config\

and change them by need
