Add a Lobby for 360 or this game will die.

I know there has been other threads about this but SPLASH DAMAGE really needs to listen. A Beta would have been advisable but its too late now. Homefront came out and had some problems with friends etc joining, About 5-6 of my friends waited about a week before trading the game in, a patch came out a few weeks later but by that time the gaming community had gone back to COD etc. I love this game and want to enjoy this with my friends but cant due to lag but mostly trying to get into a game with them is nearly impossible, the game is usually already underway and there is not enough room on the same team for me and my friends to play together. The addition of a lobby where the host can invite friends before launching would be perfect. I dont want this game to fail and without a lobby system I fear it will as there is only so many times to play against the AI on campaign.

“I know there has been other threads about this but”

and by posting exactly the same thing as hundreds of others helps in what way ?

He’s just trying to get his opinion across man. I’m sick of the threads too, but I also know that lobbies are a very important aspect of console gaming. I honestly think SD could get around lobbies by making it so that fireteams follow you wherever the leader goes, but they do need to do something.

Hopefully they know by now but by keeping the topic current in any way it will hopefully gain their attention.

Lobbies is priority #1 to the public tied with lag. I think both will need to be fixed in order to maintain its playerbase. I love Brink and I hope we all can continue to play it.

This thread makes me lol.

stop crying about the lobby thing, most matches are full of bots that you can replace easily.

(Nail) #7

and every lobby post pushes someone else’s problem off the page, greedy people seldom get their way

Because the more people mention it maybe splash damage will take note.

And boozee84 if it were that easy do you think I and many others would be on here complaining about it?
You people need to think before you waste forum space with non helpfull advice and useless comments. Also NAIL look up words before you use them. seldom means rarely I assume you meant to say “always”.

more whinging gets it pushed to the bottom of the list

I played some matches today, and I must say that lobbies would help the 360 alot, when I get into a game there might be ONE other human if I’m lucky, they’re either playing some other mission or they’re not playing at all

It seems like the online playerbase is around 15 players, and we don’t know on what msision those 15 people are spread out between, is it CCity Security? Is it Terminal Resistance? I don’t know

Anything that helps players connect to eachother would be gladly accepted with open arms, Splash Damage

Maybe a player count on each mission? Like ‘‘Getting Answers - 17 players currently playing’’, and those 17 are Security, while the Resistance version has maybe… Less, more, same? Whatever the number

This would make a good title update, Splash!

Lobby system killed TF2 on PS3

A superb team based shooter fell flat because of this.

This isn’t whining. The #1 complaint from every-single-xbox-player, tied with lag, is the lack of lobbies.

We don’t get to browse servers like the PC version, thats the first thing you need to realize. We can only join a random game, and toss invites to our friends and hope they make it in.

Lobbies aren’t a want for xbox games, they are a must have. Trust me these guys aren’t complaining they’re begging.

It’s something very simple that would add fun, ease to organization, and a smoother experience.

I am trying to help a good game be great. If this isnt fixed then there is no reason for me to play as its a team based game where I cant play with my friends. That is not a winge thats a fact.

Greedy? Seriously? Asking for a lobby is hardly being greedy and having to sit through spectator mode for an entire match before all of your party can get in the game IS a problem.

No one is saying “Hey SD, give us lobbies before you work on any other problems!” I think its understood that certain problems need to be addressed first, but why does that mean that we can’t bring this up? I support this game, but if that’s the type of attitude SD has then I’ll sell my copy and stop trying to convince others to give it a chance.
