Activision set to release ET tools.
 Activision is?
So has the plan changed or are they still incorporating ET support into the latest GTK Radiant build?
:???:
From what i understand the tools were ported over into the original QeRadiant by Splash Damage, who then sent them to Activision for Quality assurance. So to answer the previous post - No these are not GtkRadiant Tools.
No, according to the posts from the SD guys it was built from GtkRadiant, not QeRadiant. Bummer as I really hate the Gtk interface in general.
But not the MOD source, right?
Activision, can I please have the server source at least? I’ll sign an NDA! please!!!
The editing tools were based on the latest GTKRadiant and enhanced inhouse for new features to do with ET. Then all the new goodies we created where ported back into the base GTK tree so that everybody else who uses GTK can benefit. Alot of the features are in the GTK 1.13 beta version being tested on the net.
I personally used QRadiant before I came to SD and the GTK interface can seem a little strange at first but overall its good. It has a lot of really good features that put QRadiant to shame. When GTKRadiant originally appeared it had a really bad Unix/Linux style interface which lucky was replaced with a standard windows interface.

HOW DARES YE!!!
u just needed a good gtk theme much better than some windows thingy :P, tho i prefer qt
Will this new Radiant have all the plugins? Particularly Gensurf and Curry. Those are the only reason I still keep 1.2 around.
GenSurf will be there, no Curry though (we never used the latter, just check our shaders ingame usually, ET isn’t particularly shader heavy).

I’d also like to point out for no reason other than personal satisfaction that I guessed correctly which map they’d give out the source to.
Sad ain’t I?
Don’t bother to reply - get mapping instead!
