Access cases/store while in lobby

(ImSploosh) #1

After a game ends, many, if not most or all of the players tend to leave the game (whether it was a good game, fun, or whatever). I’ve found that a main reason for this is cases. Players often leave the lobby to open their case. This results in many lobbies being empty after 1 match and many matches starting with almost no players (and then when someone votes to restart the match, no one accepts it from the winning team).

I suggest allowing access to the store and the cases while in a lobby. This would keep a lot more players in lobbies after the game ends. I can see this being an issue with the game’s longevity.

Another tweak I’d like to see is a minimum number of players for a game to start in public matches. Maybe 3v3 as it is with private matches? Something like this. Or a forced restart when more than 3 people finally join each team in a match.

I wasn’t sure where to post this so sorry if it’s in the wrong spot. (Looked for a suggestions area for this). I’m also not too keen on coding and what it takes to do what I see as a simple tweak. Let me know what the rest of the community thinks.

YES YES YES YES YES!!! I have been in plenty of matches that I leave simply to open some cases. I would love to see this implemented!! Great suggestion!

I really like this idea, i really dont know why you dont have access to the barracks and the store

(ImSploosh) #4

EXACTLY! I hate to use other games as examples, because obviously Dirty Bomb is not other games, but they all allow you to have access to the store, loadouts, etc. while in a lobby. Hell, I’ve never played a game that hasn’t.

I’ve just noticed this becoming a problem and a lot of people have told me it’s because they want to open their cases.

I am not agains’t your idea, I mean, if you can do more, you can do less, but why do you need to go check your loadout in between two games ? You think you’re gonna have that obsidian card that will make you win the next match?

This idea has been brought up before and I think the devs are looking into it.

+1 Long overdue feature. Just do it like when you’re waiting on a match in comp. Access to the whole frontend.

If you are starting out, every card leads to an actual upgrade. Not everyone is fully decked out with the ideal loadout, let alone triple augments, on their mercs from the moment they boot up the game.

Sure but let’s be honest. DB is skilled-based, not augment-based. You can have as many augments you want, you never compete someone who knows the basic moves and have some skills. And that is the best part of DB.

I think we should just be able to access anything when we are in menus.

I consider this a must.

This idea is because people leave the games they’re in to go open their cases mainly. I RARELY start a game with the full amount of people in it because of this and it’s just annoying. There’s no mandatory restart or anything so the winning team never votes to restart the map.

I don’t know about you, but the last thing I want to see is everyone leave the lobby after a good, close game.
