About Loadout Cards...

If you’re a medic without Get Up, you’re doing it wrong.
If you’re a medic without Get Up, you’re doing it wrong.
Which sums up my entire issue with the loadout system. If any merc has this issue where a given subset of their loadouts is the only viable one, it makes the rest fluff. I remember hearing them say on stream that the different augments/combinations were to give people with different play styles options - this definitely isn’t that.

this is why we should not only be able to buy different card rarities, but choose our augs too. i think every aug should cost something and different augs are different prices… this would really give players their own play style… maybe even choose their own weps at a price too? it might be a little op for players with a lot of cash irl and ingame, unless they price the better stuff a lot higher… i just think this would give ever player his or her very own unique play style…

My hope from the start of the loadout scheme was that the augments + weapons combos would create slightly different variations of the same merc, thus suiting different play styles. Simple example: a CQB-focused Phantom with the katana and melee-oriented augments (chopper, quick slash) but poor ranged weapons (say a MP as primary instead of a SMG) vs a infiltration-focused Phantom (undercover, untrackable, enigma) with all-around average weapons.

Each merc could have slightly shifted builds like better at combat, tankier or enhanced support abilities, all with pros and cons. But right now it seems like the builds are just random, which leads to trashy and must-have ones rather than giving you true play style options :’(
