About competitive matches

Hi guys,
I have some questions concerning the competitive side of DB.

There will be any LAN support for the game?
There will be any dedicated server option? Both rentable or installable (on VPS maybe?)
There will be any “mod” or option to exclude any upgrade/unlock that will be avaible with ingame currency, experience or similar? Something like cod “promod”?

I’ve never played any f2p fps and I don’t know how this formula can be used in a competitive game.

What I hope is that there will be an option for competitive play where everybody play the basic game, with nothing more that what you have when you start, no “premium” boosts/weapons/classes or, at least, the SAME unlocks/boosts/weapons for every player in the match.

As DB will be probably supported by ESL, I’m sure there will be such options :smiley:

Can you already give these infos or is still early?

F2P games often have lobbies and rooms and whatever the useless crap but instead I hope DB allows you to have dedicated servers because that would be the solution to alot of problems.

As to limiting loadouts, the mercs have their own loadout so you could limit it to a merc but not to a certain loadout I think :expressionless:
Not that much limiting would be required as I put my trust into SD for balancing the game :slight_smile:

I think the fact that on-one has replied directly to your questions yet can be taken as read that it’s too early to know.

It could be tricky to work this into the F2P model, but I really hope that they can.

Yeah, I’d really like for these things to be implemented, but it’s a free-to-play game so some things might not be able to be made.

There likely will be a list of servers you can connect to in the game’s lobby. But on if you can make a dedicated server or mod options, hopefully. Just wait and see what SD come up with during the beta…

(on a side thought, where’s my Founder badge, lol)

You can add it by going to your dashboard I think!
