About changing maps scritps

Hi,

If i changed maps scripts of my game server, what if a player having the original maps scripts want to join my game server, will he be able to do that even if the game server maps scripts are different from the player’s maps scripts? or a sort of error will occur?

Yes. They can join your server without any problem until you don’t modify the map.pk3 file. Change mapscript and upload it to mapscript folder on server FTP. :slight_smile:

Indeed. A disadvantage though is that players don’t download the map scripts and hence can’t replay the map as it was running on your server.

Editing the map’s pk3 is a big no-no though. In the case you want to publish your handywork, you’d be better off making a new pk3.
