Is it just me or Blishlok doesn’t seem all that bad. This may be due to Blishlok on certain mercenaries seems viable but I can’t say for sure. So back when I first bought Phantom, I absolutely hated the Blishlok and deemed it useless. Now that my aim is much better and that I got a Lock on and Steady event card for Bushwacker, I’ve decided to give it a spin. Surprisingly, I am starting to love this weapon and could do fairly well with it. The only thing I would say is Blishlok could use a better red dot sight but that is a minor thing. Do you guys really hate this so much?
About Blishlok
Most people hate it cause of its ROF, it is the slowest among the SMGs. I think the Blish works great with merc doesn’t have access to many SMG choices like Aura, but still, for me a SMG needs to shoot fast, so i use Crotzni or KEK for most of the time.

I have to agree. For an SMG Blish feels out of place. It doesn’t feel like SMG but rather a very dry #2 … It’s not satisfying. My king of SMG still has to be Hochfir. But Blish is a neat weapon non the less.
I just love the Blish on my Aura. It does more damage than the other SMGs so if your aim is not so bad and you stand in your healing station it’s fairly good on defense.

But i kinda understand why the Blish behaves that way, because if its similar to other SMGs then no one would use shotgun loadouts. The Blish was built to be an alternative long range combat weapon for that reason, so it kinda has its own place. You gotta learn how to love the Blish, slow ROF means easier to get HS tho.
I once ran across a field to revive someone as an aura. I got shot 4 times and in under a second I died because the other guy landed all 4 of those shots perfectly. It is a very powerful weapon but in no way does it seem like an SMG. It’s more of a semi-automatic assault weapon but it’s not semi-automatic and not an assault weapon. Which makes perfect sense in my head. It’s a good weapon, but for mercs such as Aura, I prefer the shotgun to run in, walljump, do a madting with a shotgun headshot and then duck out.
To me the idea of Aura is to avoid head on combat due to the low health pool. I prefer the shotgun in that fights involving Aura needs to be quick and close range. The agility on Aura made it possible to retreat into better places where you can drop a station and make use of that burst shotgun.
Treat the Blishlok like a K121 that doesn’t buck all over and you’ll have success with it.
I always preferred the Hochfir because of its versatility and ROF, Blishlok is like the Rhino of SMG, slow but packs a punch. My aim isn’t that good so I wouldn’t use it, but it could be very useful in hands of a good player.
I prefer any weapon that isn’t blishlock. Only situation i use it is Fletcher on maps like chapel where shotgun doesn’t look a better choice. Damn i wish Fletcher had a burst rifle instead.
Blishlok has always been good. Especially now that it got some pretty significant buffs in the last update.
The term you are looking for is Intuitive kinesthetic alignment. I got that from a Pixel Twitch video, saying how some weapons feel better on faster mercs than on slower mercs.
I have to agree that it seems to be much better now. Maybe better than other Smgs. It feels really good now. Especially since the aim down sight recoil has gone down considerably.
Blishlok is fine, and has been fine for ages. People just say its bad because they can’t use it effectively.
Is that really a thing, because Blishok feels great on Aura for me, not so much on other mercs. The other way around, the KEK10 feels better on the slower Bushwhacker then on faster Phoenix for me
I’m starting to like the Blishlok but I always wondered…why was this even a smg or a weapon in the game in the first place? Is it even based on a real weapon?
Always loved the Blish, however if I have a choice I’ll choose another SMG. It is both satisfying and frustrating at the same time due to the insane HS damage and low RoF, but over all the other SMGs are more consistent and have higher DPS.
