Abilities question

(Luke Del) #1

Just a quick question really.

I have a level 20 medic with all the universal abilities and medic abilities besides adrenaline (It seems pointless to me) and I have two points left over. I’m just wondering if I get the grenade upgrade abilities from the soldier abilities will it still count if my class isn’t soldier? E.g. If I buy the grenade damage upgrade from the soldier abilities and i’m playing as a medic, will that ability still be active?

Universal Abilities are for all classes.
Class Abilities are for that specific class.

If that still doesn’t clear things up then the simplest answer is no, it won’t be active when playing as a Medic.

It’s good to use on a teammate that needs to plant, hack, or deliver an objective. Anything where a teammate is an easy target for the enemy because they are critical to the current objective.

Anyone know if it can be used on an escort NPC? May be useful there too, I don’t play Medic that much.

I’ll try it out then seeing as I don’t really have anything else to spend points on because i’m trying to make it a “Pure” medic as some would say. I’ll get back to you on the last part because it would be extremely useful when escorting npcs.

Nope, only healing and reviving can be used on escort, i wanted to give him kevlar ^^

(Mustang) #7

Why don’t you spend your last point(s) on caltrops (and emp grenade)
Then you can go operative for hack objectives when no-one else wants to switch

save the unused points for the New DLC, that’s what i’m doing

Four levels will give you four new ability points (I assume) and there are only five new abilities in the first DLC (one for each class and one universal) so, if you currently have unassigned ability points, I don’t think you’ll be spending them all unless you got a Jack-of-all-trades build.
