Hi,
Im Tried to ‘repair/reactivate’ uncompleted/damaged? bots code…
after bot spawn, i got an error about aas ‘File not found’ etc , so I created
.aas files for goldrush.bsp and pack them in right place.Now after bot spawn i got next error

“error: AAS_LINKENTITY: aas not loaded”
and
“error: AAS_POINTAREANUM: aas not loaded”

I can’t find solution for this in code… :frowning: It is possible to fix it? if not what can replace aas system ?
Any ideas?

you created goldrush.aas

i was under the belive that ET map wouldnt compile a .ass file correctly

Yes, I compiled .aas for goldrush (bspc 2.1 used) :smiley:

But if AAS system if really completly broken and unsupported, i must forget about this :frowning:

AFAIK the AI brushes were removed from the stock maps to make them smaller…

long shot here and u prob already done it but, in ur .rar the .aas files are goldrush_1 etc, from my experiance in rtcw sp mapping the .aas file needs to have the exact name as the map and dont forget to put it inside a pk3 in the right folder too

EDIT/ ok i think i got it wrong about the naming, you might try looking at rtcw source code and look at the sections that load the .aas file… worth a try i supose

I have tried to generate .aas files but ET maps are too complex. That could work with “cubic” maps, but not with current ones.

bspc isn’t open source, so we cannot hope to adapt it.
A solution could be to implement an open format …
(That is interesting but i don’t have time for that (for the moment)).
