How on earth are you only getting just about 60fps with that set up? I have the same cpu and a gtx 970 and I’m getting 110-120 fps on dome on max settings :confused:

Yeah something is clearly not right with his system if that’s all he can achieve. Unless he’s playing in a high resolution but I can get 80fps easily in 1440p and 4k is way below 30 so I don’t understand… @1AGRESSOR what refresh rate is your monitor? Are you capped at 60fps due to a 60hz panel or is it physically struggling to break the freehold? Run it without vsync and see if that helps?

I do agree that they could re-work some maps and make them work for other game modes but it’s not as easy as you think. I have a bit of experience in map design and you have to build maps to have proper flow, have interesting conflict areas and try to keep things as even sided as possible even if the gametype has teams swap sides at some point. Doable on some maps but would potentially take as much time as building one from the ground up.

The laptop I have from 2011 can get 75-90FPS using the onboard GPU (Sandy Bridge) and when I have the 550m on I get 100-125. I’d love to hear just what hardware you’re using that only allows 50-60FPS because at some point it’s simply not the games issue.

High ping/latency isn’t the same thing as packet loss. 120-150 ping most people will play pretty normal due to client side hit registration in DB + anti-lag tech with issues getting more and more pronounced as you go up. However, if you have packet loss or the person you are facing has packet loss or their ping is rubberbanding up and down then they will teleport. Latency, rubberbanding ping and packet loss are all completely different things that a lot of people tends to lump together when discussing this topic.

Maybe you have Framerate Issues because of Windows 10?
I’ve got an R9 390 and have 180 FPS on Max settings, never going below that and i’ve never had any Framedrops even with my Laptop with a 765M before.

To be fair you have basically wrote 2 essays and I personally scanned through it instead of reading every point. Anyway, about your fps. Dirty bomb does favour nvidia but I doubt that would result in double the performance, without wanting to start a red vs green war but the 970 is alot more powerful than a 280x but not enough to warrant that fps difference. I have fps drops in game in occasion but I think mine are down to the fact I play the game off a hdd that’s at least 3 years old and has seen heavy gaming. What does amd have equivalent to nvidia’ control panel? Try to customise the setting through that, make sure you check maximum performance wherever you get the option and see if there is any difference.

Sorry about missing your PC specs post. You are definitely having some kind of issue if that’s your rig and you can’t even get 60fps. Also, Hawken should be giving you much more than 70fps. It really sounds like you might have hardware issues. Or there is some weird bug in UE3 that doesn’t like your driver/hardware. I tend to stick to Intel/Nvidia hardware almost exclusively because the games industry uses it to develop on and test with as the default. More issues will be seen/fixed due to this during development so it tends to be the less risky option. I also don’t like AMD’s terrible release cadence with their drivers and bad alternate OS support. You can score high on all the FPS benchmarks you want but if you’re driver performance isn’t consistent over time and a lot of games that aren’t AAA titles have issues then I won’t be buying your products. Especially if you take forever to release new drivers to fix issues.

So that sucks your PC isn’t getting the FPS it should be getting :frowning:

I agree with almost everything except 10. The only thing I saw last night were 2 Phoenix, 1 Aura + Insert 1-2 more Phoenix or Auras, that sometimes swap out to Fragger/Skyhammer/Kira.

  1. Add the ability for snipers to instagib players 100hp or below. (Fraggers and Kiras can easily explode a room if they play correctly, so Sniper is mostly hurt due to the changes.)

  2. Add a “Battery Pack” to Medics. They can’t use defibs without power, right? So give them a base of 100. 100% power = 100 health revived. This allows the 30% perk to give a nice bonus, yet keeping medics in line with spamming LITERALLY FOUR REVIVES IN A ROW on a sniper I’ve sniped 4 times in the head, of which every time he’s just respawned because the re-chamber time isn’t enough to kill someone outright before they are spam revived.
    (This recharges over time.)
    (This is just one specific case, of which seriously enraged me.)

2a. Remove Invincibility Frames. There’s no reason I should be able to snipe someone AGAIN, WHILE their revive animation is playing, and it do nothing. This also includes your team shooting someone with a primary/secondary THIRTY TIMES OR MORE during the one second animations, and they still get back up with 100% health.

Edit: Didn’t see 10.2. Yeah, the super-blooming glaring Yellow fire, even with a super low config setting, is SO OBNOXIOUS. Yellow is my favorite color and all, but nah, change that.
