out of my experiences

I find it depends on the map, situation and game type, in execution phantom is more useful and has a lot more control, I’m always sticking around teammates and not going lone wolf (which always gets you killed). I wait for the enemy team to get distracted by my teammates and go in to abuse the Phatana swings.

In objective its a bit more difficult since things are more chaotic your forced into locations to complete objectives and the routes to said objectives tend to bottleneck with skirmishes between the two teams, thus making it hard to sneak around. when I play phantom on objective my job is to take out snipers or mounted machine gun campers or Stealth guard objectives. but like you said camping spawn at range is actually an effective strategy that buys time or distracts the enemy team long enough to complete objectives, I do try and do this.

phantom doesn’t struggle per-say in objective but when playing it I find myself forced to play more cautious and bait people into areas or around corners to later stealth.

his smg’s were nerfed and it just feels like his pistol takes people out quicker, I use his smg’s mainly at mid range when ever I can fit it in but close range skirmishes I use his pistol, which is a majority of the time since you have to sneak in to melee

I think I can take that video more seriously than what you just said. His SMG’s aren’t his SMG’s. Those are the SMG’s that other mercs used so it’s not like Phantom was directly nerfed by any changes. And barely anything has been touched in quite some time. Hell, the Blishlok just got a couple of buffs that, when combined, is fairly significant. Not only that pistols have never even come close to being as good as a Kek, Crotzni or Blishlok. If you think pistols are better than those weapons the I have a feeling you haven’t taken much time to fire them.

Bishlock, Crotzni and Kek are pretty good by the way. It’s just Phantom’s abilities that aren’t doing so well. A good Sawbonez can kill Phantoms any day, and give allies critical support and healing on top of that. Phantom… doesn’t give support to his team besides killing or hurting noobs. And he’s worse at killing than Sawbonez, which says something about how useful he is.

He needs a support ability that would make him as viable a pick as Sawbonez, or make him able to kill anything as easily as Fragger or Vasilli. Or a mix between both.

could be, most load-outs I get are bad or either don’t give the Phatana which is silly I’ll have to give the Blishlok another try.

I guess I’m just decent with the pistol and peoples heads. maybe I’m blinded by how awesome the pistol feels to use

Update: blishlok is pretty decent after messing around with it, not a whole lot of spread/pretty accurate with lower fire rate though.

you can take it as a fish story cause I forgot to screenshot but I was playing execution late at like 2 AM (maybe 3 since clocks forward) with my friend on team speak. I was getting complaints at the start but they stopped when the game ended with me at 18k/5d

Edit: I also got a load-out with a KEK and tried it out. with the Phatana and chopper perk it feels absolutely dirty the kills I can get away with in this load-out
