I give it a try for dome. that’s all. not really playin
Currently installing the witcher 2 to wait for the next patch, with some Wolf ET for my FPS drug dose !
A very quick demonstration of DBs lack of smoothness...
Since around CBT I began experiencing these exact micro stutters and overall lack of smoothness (which never happened in alpha). It gets really bad on newer drivers too, so I’m stuck back on ccc v12. It’s likely the cause for that nauseating feeling of low fps regardless of what your fps actually is, especially if you’re used to playing on a 120hz+ monitor. It’s almost as if the game is skipping frames when the mouse is moving, which makes everything feel blurry and visually hard to comprehend most times. I can cope with it, but the worst I ever experienced was on my brother’s PC where his game was literally going in and out of focus every second after a patch for some unexplainable reason. I have no leads on why this is happening, but I’d be very grateful if it went away forever.
Looks like a threading problem.
Actually simple to test if it is.
Give the game only one cpu (affinity), disae auto threading in Nvidia panel
Well, currently I am getting this bug my brother had last patch. My game goes in and out of focus at a constant rate, as in if you look at anything on the screen like the text or crosshair it goes blurry and then sharp. Le sigh.
I think it’s been like this since mid-alpha, perhaps when they enabled post processing or some other visual effect, maybe it’s no longer possible to disable the cause through ini-edits which is why you’re seeing it now also.
I’ve noticed the problem a few patches ago, but this one is particularly bad. I’m getting FPS way above my refresh rate, but there are so many micro-stutters that it makes it very disorientating and difficult to enjoy playing the game.
The problem only gets worse when more people join the game. Also, I’ve noticed that as soon as a player joins the game, I get an especially large micro-stutter.
In addition, these forced view kicks for jumping and reloading are making the game feel even worse.
