Well, I have a few maps on the shelf, they are mainly shelved because I can’t find out how to add an image to the loading screen. Would I add it in the map_levelshots.shader file, and if so, which lines do I change?
A Very Noob question
not the shader file, look at another custom map as an example, everything is pretty much self explanitory.
I’ve looked at some of the Splash Damage maps, and Trainyard by Marko, and all that I see is the image for the loading screen in the “Levelshots” directory. I tried placing the image in there, but no luck.
And yes, I know they have to be .tga files.
You were right about placing the image there. Now go into scripts and checkout the mapname_levelshots.shader file. I’m pretty sure it has to be listed in there.
The image on the loading screen is located in the “etmain/levelshots” directory. The filename needs to be the same as the map name so that the game knows which image to load. Also make sure its a TGA file not a JPG file. (TGA files are less likely to cause problems.)
