A tip for you guys. (go 10 boosters or don't go)

(somberPlasma) #1

Guys i was able to test it 3 times now, anything but 10 boosters are a waste, first week, i played with 9 boosters for about 70 matches and nothing, after i buy the 10th booster, i got the case instantly, second week, i went for 8 boosters, after 40 or so matches, i bought the last 2 and got the case in the next match, this week, the same thing, 8 boosters for ages and nothing, buying the last 2 gave me the case instantly (i don’t even want to think, how much credit that was in total.)

The only weird thing is, from 9 to 10 boosters is a massive difference, for 10k credits, you can reduce your time from days of play, to instantly, and that doesn’t seen right. there shouldn’t be this big of a gap in 1 booster.

“working as intended”

I buy booster whenever i felt like it so since week 1 i use 1-5 booster and no case yet.

They said smth about the chance rising with every game you play and with every booster you buyed. Well this doesnt show to me yet because im running 5 booster at the moment and playing since week 1 and by that time the chance should be maxed out from playing and the 5 booster.

Well, i will get max booster maybe in Week 4/5 because current mercs beside Vassilli arent played all that much by me.

I can confirm this. I’ve purchased boosters in increments of 10 about 8 times. And each time I got a drop within 1-3 matches. The past week, I’ve had 7 boosters and played between 70-100 matches during that time and still haven’t received a drop.

“Working as intended”. Man I like SD and Nexon but they botched this part of ReV. I wish they’d kept it the same as CW, where all equipment cases were replaced and everyone had an equal chance at event cases. I also think that another currency is a bit unnecessary (and the credits to cycles bulk bonus rate is horrendously low, even not worth it), but hey, I like the event skin and they offered everyone a guaranteed event card for 5k credits. Good on them for that. But seriously, I’m not participating in any future “drop boosters” event, and from the looks of the forums, the active community won’t either.

Can confirm. 50 hours of DB each week, buying boosters as soon as I can afford them. Only drops at 10.

(Occult) #7

ive only had 3 since the beginning and no case. think ill buy the extra 7 next week at least ill get a case and not fell bad for putting this much time into an event

I am also approaching the 100h milestone during this event. 5 boosters the entire time without a single drop. Meanwhile both of my friends, who also play DB, got a case with less than 10 or 15 hours playtime respectively.
In my opinion they should have cases dropping about every 20 hours on average, which then gets reduced by boosters. That way the dedicated players have a fair chance to get a loadout they really like, instead of working their ass off for a single card (if they are lucky that is). So 50 hours (which only hardcore players will spend) with 5 boosters would be 5 cases on average. The chance to get the loadout you want for the merc you like is still not too high if you ask me.

(FalC_16) #9

I confirm the same.

(DarkMatterMatt) #10

I got a suspect case after about 20h of playing with 1 booster. Currently at about 25ish hours with 2 boosters and no more so far.

(DeadPixels) #11

I got a case only from 1 booster, looks like i was lucky :o

(MarsRover) #12

That’s an interesting definition of linearity

(Mortylen) #13

I don’t even…

56 regular cases (thats about +/- 150 matches) dropped for me during the event. I had 5+ boosters all the time, but no cigar.

“working as intended”

Do we swear around here?! If so, get fucked SD!

8 boosters + 30h= 0 cases
10 boosters + 30min/1h= guaranteed event case.

It’s working as intended. Except it’s not and you need to buy 2 more boosters.

I have a strong suspicion that this is the case. I had 4-6 boosters in week 1, 7 throughout week 2 and i still havent received a suspect case.

If Phoenix wins this week i think i’ll skip playing next week and just get 10 boosters for the final week.

(feigenstaub) #18

2 booster, 34 cases now, no event case

there should be a cap at 30 cases that everyone gets a garanteed event case at this stage. (-3 cases per booster)

(Sithas) #19

First week 5 boosters: zero cards
Second week 5 boosters beginning 7 at the end of the week: zero cards.
Third week still 7 boosters atm:zero cards
But yeah they are ‘working as intended’
I find it quite insulting, that they really think the playerbase is stupid enough to fall for such obvious lies.
The game itself is great, but by the gods these ‘events’ are crappy.

(TheStrangerous) #20

So basically single event case costs around 100 K credits…

Might as well buy 5-6 desired bronze cards instead.
