A look at back at Fragger’s Loadouts and see what Stoker and Skyhammer have might lead one to figure that Thunder will have his own LMG an M249 (in game name unknown), Stark AR and the Timik-47, having these as his analogue to Fragger’s HK-121, M4A1 and BR-15. While it makes sense that they should have the assault rifles the Timik and M4 available as a more accurate/faster reload counterpart to their LMGs, why not replace the burst rifles with the LMG of the other merc, the burst rifles while useful, seam very unfitting for Thunder and Fragger as longer ranges are meant to clearly be their downside, theres also the fact that they’re depicted holding LMGs that used to be their own default weapons but if this is the case they’re holding weapons they cant use, and are also would be the only characters who can’t use a weapon of a similar type that’s similar to their default primary.
A Thought on Fragger's and Thunder's LMGs
I believe Thunder’s new LMG was called the MK40 or something along those lines. Fragger is holding it in his merc portrait.
As someone who really loves the BR-16, if SD did it I’d agree, but the MK46 if this old weapon stats sheet is anything to go by, does 3 less damage that the BR-16, but a higher rate of fire, 80 shots per mag, and a slower reload speed than the K-121, and the same-ish accuracy is around the BR’s
Yup, it used to be Fragger’s default LMG and Thunder had by default the K-121, why the swap I don’t know. why aren’t they available to the other after the swap is another question, as they’re the only mercs that don’t have access to another merc’s analogue, Proxy and Aura can use each other’s shotguns, Stoker and Sky can use each other’s rifles, Kira and Arty have each other’s rifles, but in Kira’s case you could say the same when someone has the BR-16 by default, etc.
The only time it does make sense is with Redeye as he really doesn’t have a weapon similar to his own, opting with using Arty’s G3 which is just a step more for ammo capacity but less damage than his default Grandeur and Aimee’s default PDP, with that note; I’m guessing Aimee will have the Grandeur, the PDP and Vasilli’s default MoA.
@Redcap They swapped their default LMGs because to most people the MK40 was the better LMG and Fragger had the better ability. Therefore they were making Thunder obsolete. They don’t want to put both of them in there most likely because they don’t want to risk making Thunder underpowered compared to Fragger.
In a case like that, couldn’t, if both LMGs were to be given to each, have Thunder carry two charges with the same, or even faster cooldown than Fragger?
