The blinding effect on the concs is a bit ridiculous to a point where anyone looking in its general direction get fully blinded at any range. I suggest that we limit the blinding radius to ~10m for both enemies and thunder himself and after this range up to 30m you get a partial blind (again for both enemies and thunder) which gives a white tinge to your screen and disables your HUD. This would counter the problem I stated above and stop excessive self blinding. What do you think?
A suggestion for the comcs blinding effect
The blinding effect can be very frustrating and surprising. It’s not uncommon that I end up being flashed without even seeing the concussion grenade flying… I think the blind detection could use a lot of improvements.
I’d also really, really, really like if Thunder’s concussions grenade got their fuse raised to the same level than Fragger’s frag grenades and made cookable again. Right now Thunder has the same issue that makes Stoker frustrating to fight against sometimes : he can toss the conc mid fight with pretty much no warning. Considering that getting caught in the concussion radius is a sure death most of the time, I think the concussion grenades needs to be more restrictive and predictable. The cooking mechanic would be just perfect, Thunder would keep his efficiency while being much more fair way less frustrating to fight against.
@Eox i agree that the concs need to be cookable for the exact reason you stated. Simply put there is very little counterplay toward thunder. If you get concussed and the thunder isn’t, then you are screwed.I also think the cooldown may need to be increased, to make it a bit less spammy. But that’s my opinion.
