A Strong Suggestion to the Brink Developers

(Ichihara) #1

Here is a link of what the game looked like during development:

Now in comparison, BRINK looks entirely different. I do in fact love this game, but trust me, I guarantee that if you can administer this same look to the game with some sort of patch or update, you will have reached perfection. ( Don’t forget the Lag on both the PS3 and XBOX 360).

Overall, that video is what most likely gave brink its hype, and I must admit, it looks damn good. I’m pretty sure others would agree with me, even the parkouring contains more fluidity in its appearence.

Regardless, good job Splash Damage, and Bethesda.

By the way, if you choose to comment, please state whether you like the way the game currently looks, or if you wouldn’t mind having the graphics from that video.

Link is broken.

try it now.

Yeah Container City looks much more interesting in that video. And I’m pretty sure that I’ve seen the current CC on the highest settings.

Explosions seem much bigger with more smoke. I remember thinking this about ETQW many years ago too

(Shinigami) #6

This is BS!! Why did the graphics look so good a god damn year ago!! i dont understand how after one year and a half of more work we went downhill so much.

I am always the first to stand up for brink and defend it but this really pissed me off

I was wonder why CC looks different, maybe they can add different situations for maps like time and weather. Since this seems to be at night.

PC graphics look better on a power machine look better than the console graphics, whats the big deal?

Or the big surprise for that matter?

(Senyin) #9

Yeah, looks nice, very dark though.
I still think the game looks nice but I dont have high standards for graphics anyway.
What happened to weapon load out?

I saw that too. I would love to be able to have a light, heavy, and medium weapon loadout selection. Not all situations call for the same weapons. And I’d rather use different weapons with a soldier than I do an operative. Looking through the weapon screens takes more time than choosing a loadout.

The game looks surprisingly different. In fact, yeah, it looks better in the vid. Also, the gun the player is using actually seems to do the damage you would expect it too.

You can probably thank the cavemen console’s for that, they are so outdated that they couldnt had run the game if it had such graphics…

Because even if the 360 can’t pull off the graphics that my high end PC can do, at least… the image quality on the 360 should look clean and sharp, but offer less details.

However, it’s not the case. The image quality on the 360 is annoying and all blurry instead. I can’t point out if it’s due to a lower resolution or a post process, but there is something terribly wrong with the rendering.

And it’s NOT because the 360 cannot do sharper graphics. We’ve seen plenty of games that look much better and cleaner than Brink.
